Our 2018 Honda CRV has blind spot detection and if you turn on your directional signals towards the side where there's someone in your blind spot it gives you an audible warning. I'm always careful about changing lanes but I still appreciate it. I hope the Maverick has this in addition to the light in the mirror.
It is a must-have.
I see how the government may add it in a few years as mandatory equipment in all new vehicles. In particular, blind-spot monitoring and cross-traffic may be worth it by just eliminate one accident in the lifetime of 10 vehicles that installed it.
I also believe that blind spot device helps surrounding vehicles too. The orange light gives the feedback that maintaining that proximity to the vehicle is not safe. I actually wished Ford illuminated a larger area when the Blind spot is triggered.

Still working on ordering my XLT from looking at pictures the last few days it looks like adding Copilot removes the blind spot mirror in the mirror and replaces it with the indicator light. Is that correct that you loose the ability to actually see the blind spot by adding the package?

That is correct. I do wish they would put the light in another corner to keep the blind spot mirror. But interchangeable parts and all that. I'll be using a stick-on mirror from amazon.

Unfortunately so. I'd much prefer both as well. You could purchase OE non-BLIS mirrors and install them, but you need to keep the LED plugged in otherwise it throws an error code in my experience.

Hmm that was what I feared might not get copilot didn't really want the lane assist and would much rather be able to see my blind spot than trust the light

It will not change what you can see, just add a separate little mirror that sticks on /that’s just me. but if you do not find the features useful, save the money and get what you like.

I have the XL with co-pilot 360 on order. I am wondering how much this feature makes sense without the cruise control? I added it because of the power mirrors, full size spare tire and some of the safety features but not sure how much the lane keeping assistant will make sense with CC.

I don't think it makes sense for the 500 dollar price tag.

In my XL, it was a no-brainer to add this. I like the machine looking out for me when I am not as attentive as I should be, and the cost was minimal.

The only other thing I added was the hitch receiver, which they are practically giving away.

If it saved you 1 deductible it was probably worth it

How often do you adjust your mirrors?

For 500 dollars I can do it the old fashion way
I do a lot of night driving, when I get someone behind me with their highbeams (or just really badly adjusted headlights) I kick the side view mirrors so I'm not blinded by the glare. Happens two or three times a week. So adjustable side view mirrors are a must to me.

The prices is about the same as most people insurance deductibles, something to consider. If it saves you from having an accident, in my opinion, priceless.
FYI - I inquired of my Insurance Agent and the Prelim quote dropped my 6 month cost 40%! That was significant enough for me to move ahead with the 1st Edition and 4k tow package... Caveat... the Prelim insurance quote did not include the 4k Tow package...

If it saves me one accident due to someone in my blind spot its worth every penny to me.
Slightly off topic but here in SC every other TV commercial is some lawyer wanting to get you all the money you deserve after your accident.:(

If that was the case insurance would give you a discount for it
So you are saying that if it prevents a single accident where he would have to pay a deductible, he would not have paid for the system? That makes no sense.
