The price increase is insane. I had one of the first Mavericks in the country and I loved it. I think I paid out the door 27k. Markup is one thing all the other bulls... add ons is a different thing. Most dealerships here in LA have started to do all sort of add ons which can go up to 5-6k. I am not sure if those have to be displayed as well?

This is one of the issues, no matter how obvious the problem is, when you bring it to the ford dealership they will say "hmm, we couldn't find anything, the computer says everything is normal...."

We usually use our family car for driving our baby from A to Z but sometimes my wife takes the family car and I am alone with the baby. In case we need drive somewhere, I just bought a baby car seat to install it in my Maverick. I am sort of hesitant to place the car seat at the usual location...

In the meantime I have 15k on my Maverick and the total average is 41mpg. This road trip was a nice adventure with high speed, lots of head wind and uphill driving. This was the one and only time I had such low mpg and all is good.
