I am truly dissappointed in my gas mileage, it's one of the main reasons I got the truck. My overall average after 1500 miles is 19.6mpg. That's about 80% in town ( my commute is 8 miles with a few good hwy miles) but even a 80 mile trip at 65mph I barely broke 24mpg. Guys here with the same spec (AWD, 4k, FX4) are getting the advertised 29 on the hwy and 25 mixed. Seems to be a handful of us on the board that are just getting poor mileage. I will be taking into Ford to have a look soon.

Other than that, no complaints at all!

When I open a door and can hear about ten relays chattering, I know those relays are cheap. Good relays are fairly quite. The relays sound like the old horn relays of the 60's.

Thats the hamsters strapping on tiny helmets and unlocking their running-wheel-generators.

That thought crossed my mind. I wanted a truck, but trucks are so got-damned expensive, I can't justify the expense unless it's a Maverick. Even the Santa Cruz is pricey.

But that's the thing, I want a truck, even if it's a small one. Ecoboost/AWD/4k tow will probably scratch that itch for me without completely breaking the bank.

But man...if these are the new gas prices forever...I may regret it. This is bonkers.
Yeah... It seems gas/oil prices will stay high for some time, but I value reliability over fuel costs. I gave up building computers as a hobby about 14 years ago because the reliability of components had dropped so much when the parts were not being produced in Taiwan anymore. I'd run my pcs for 8 years before I sold them to friends for the cost of the parts (with upgrades to video cards along the way). With the above said, I can't ever image buying an ev as I prefer less "tech" in everything I buy.

I'm not dissatisfied with the Maverick yet, but I am dissatisfied with the Owners Manual. It's to convoluted. There should be two separate manuals for Eco boost and Hybrid with sections for XL, XLT and Lariat detailing standard equipment and options available for each model and specific operation of each option.

I know they tried to save time and money creating this broken novel, but I have read hundreds of technical manuals in my career, but this has to be the worst. Good technical writers would never have submitted anything this bad for publication. This needs a redo for 23 with better writers and editors. IMHO

I only have one disappointment with my FE Lariat Hybrid😥 and that disappointment is that it is not an EV! I love 😍 my truck and would gladly cancel my 150 Lightning reservation if FoMoCo announces a bi-directional charging Mav EV!🥰

My Mav has spent over 8wks of its short 16 week life at (2) dealerships to fix the parking brake sensor ($7,000 + in parts replaced) and replacing the recalled "tapped" fuel tank. While I understand a good portion of that wait is due to supply chain, it's still very disappointing for a new $33K vehicle. FOMOCO is offering a buy back based on the NJ lemon law, but I'm not sure I want to entertain that since I won't be able to find a replacement easily (and I've dumped a good amount of aftermarket mods on it).

I love mine. I think I got in early enough and missed all the drama with the dealer and sticker price. I've had it 5 months and just now have a little over 4,000 miles. I do need to contact the dealer to schedule the fuel tank recall work. I found the interior dash and console material very soft. My son scrathed up by glove box by getting in and out with his backpack. Did I mention that I absolutely love my Maverick?

I' ve had my XLT eco for about three weeks , usual issues dash noise ,engine a bit loud etc . Price point on this truck excellent , you have to expect creaks and cracks from a truck this cheap.

I’m the type that never sets expectations too high because I know all too well they end in disappointment, so it would take some serious craziness for me to disappointed in the cheapest new truck on the market. do I have some minor gripes? Sure (such as the earlier mention of sand looking like it’s oozing out of my driver side rear tail light, a little bumpier ride on rough roads than I’d like, etc…)
Do I love my truck? Absolutely, and the fact I got a brand new AWD vehicle that’s everything I need and more for 26k (and cheaper than I could find anything used with 70k+ miles that even came close to checking all the “needs” boxes) is just icing on the cake.
Do I still wish it wasn’t a Ford? Yeah, I do, but there’s nothing Close on the market in the price range I wanted to pay that comes close

I'm not sure whats more concerning, that you think you personally hobby-horsed enough computers together to diagnose a reliability trend no one else has, or that you were ripping your friends off by selling 8 year old computers for cost.

Probably the second one.
