Yes! Was quite a while ago but I remember cutting the corners of the spoiler, like a 1/2 x 3/4” or something. I had the Bak before the spoiler. I’ll confirm when later today.
Hey Kwaanza,
I still have rubbing, and it on's in the inside of the well (rear of front tires, outside edge hitting the wheel well). It happens when almost full locked, but doesn't have to be compressed. When I had 1.5 on F/R there was no rub. Going 1.5/2 is what seemed to cause it. The rub...
Tires have performed extremely well in the < 2K mi I have on them. Handle as well as when new, show little wear, were comfortable on the road, tough on the off road (gravel/grass roads were the extent) and did admirably on fuel efficiency. If I had to buy tires again for the Mav, I wouldn't...
as for durability...they're fine. It's all about how well you clean and how well you apply (getting bubbles out...etc). I never used an automatic car wash on the mav, but holds up to the jet setting on the hose nozzle so far.
Ford Accessories...currently offering 20% off. Took less than an hour to clean and install. The hood graphic on the other hand (the large center one you may see in my other posts), is much harder to install. These are 4 out 10, while the big hood one was 8/10 in difficulty.
@LEDLITES Links should be in this post for the ones I currently have installed. https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/area-51-xlt-fx4-build-245-65-vredestein-at-1-5-spacers-buschur-cai-bak-revolver-x4s-lasfit-leds-oem-accessories.8798/post-257670
I did receive weekly updates from fomoco (which happened through this forum actually) in addition to what started out as timely updates from the dealer (After 3 weeks, those updates became crickets). I complained about the wait on more than one occasion, but it didn't help. Ford offered a...
I already said no to FOMOCO's buy back as I do love the truck and can't find anything else around worthy of replacing it. Only some of the aftermarket mods would've been credited so I would've lost out there as well. I had an F150 as a loaner and it reminded me exactly why I wanted a small truck.
I can vouch that there's some rub after adding 1.5" spacers up front. I had 1.5 F/R and had hardly any rub (only rubbed the pinch weld occasionally if I backed out of the driveway fast while in full lock and compressed). Moving to 1.5/2 (F/R) I have more rub at the pinch (no need to compress...
After finally getting the Mav back (~6wks at the dealer for tank recall/parking brake sensor), I was able to do some more mods. This week I:
Changed out the wheel spacers to be 1.5/2.0" (Front/Rear)...previously 1.5" F/R. They're now hub-centric on both hub and wheel sides of the spacer...
My Mav has spent over 8wks of its short 16 week life at (2) dealerships to fix the parking brake sensor ($7,000 + in parts replaced) and replacing the recalled "tapped" fuel tank. While I understand a good portion of that wait is due to supply chain, it's still very disappointing for a new $33K...
Mine took ~8 weeks, 6 of them with the Mav parked at the dealership. I did have a drill tap on the tank, so it was replaced. The dealership (via Hertz) provided me an F150, which I thought was great at first (until the darn gas prices climbed).
Sorry to hear, but glad you have the truck back. Did the error look like this? Happened more often to me when cold, and it's in the shop now. Been there for both that and fuel tank for 5 days so far. Was told it was a pressure switch, which of course they can't seem to source anywhere.
Pushing hard on the passenger side as the OM states, may work. Slamming hard on that side always works. Slam even harder when there's a car seat using the rear tether.
