So let me make sure I understand.

This is a feature that all mavericks have, but Ford just turns it off?

WHAT?!
Yep. Though it will work a little bit differently on Lariat w/Lux packages since there are other settings needed for Sync3.

Anyone tried this on a Hybrid Lariat with Lux and 360?

Really would like the TSR and whatever else I can add.
It will work on all trims and on a Lariat with a lux package it will also work in conjunction with intelligent adaptive cruise control, another undocumented feature on these Mavericks. IACC just adds an extra layer to ACC by allowing the for the vehicle to adjust it's speed to the posted speed limit when TSR scans a speed limit sign.

For ACC, unless you have a hybrid it won't really work right. Correct me if I'm wrong but from what I understand the electric brake booster is needed for the low speed stop and go scenarios. Everything except the hybrid models (all trims) and the Lariat eco with Lux which already has ACC have a plain old vacuum assisted booster instead of the super expensive electric brake booster. Too bad because from my experience Ford's ACC is far superior to the systems I've had from Hyundai, Mazda and Toyota
Then it wouldn't work on a 2.0L ecoboost which is not the case.

Not sure what you're saying here, I have yet to see someone install the front radar unit and initiate adaptive cruise control on a 2.0L ecoboost with the vacuum brake booster.

Does a 2.0L ecoboost Lariat come with an electric assist or standard vacuum booster? I really don't know. I also don't see how ACC would need electric brake assist since it works the same as CC except it adjusts speeds based upon sensor detection.

Just curious.
If you cruise control in the mav and you reduce the speed, does the truck apply brakes or coast to the slower speed?

I think the electric booster has the ability to apply the brakes as if you were applying them on the pedal.

without that, you can coast to slow down , but your coast to slow is only good if you have a lot of distance.. but if someone slams the brakes your coast is going to leave you in their trunk?

If I understand it correctly, it uses the electronic brake booster to slow the vehicle faster than rolling resistance will, and smoother than the rough activation of something like the Emergency Braking feature (or whatever it's called)

It's highly likely that, given the elec brake booster happens to only be included on the Ecoboost trim that has ACC, this piece plays a significant part to the system. Electronic brake boosters on the hybrids are definitely there so you still have sufficient braking ability when operating under battery power only!

Lariat Lux does which is a moot point because it has ACC. The only reason it's the only Ecoboost to have an electric brake booster is because of the ACC. For stop and go the system has a very hard time regulating brake pressure with a vacuum booster hence the electric assisted booster. From what I understand, without it during stop and go traffic the truck would buck like a first timer driving a manual transmission

Well the question begs is an electric brake booster used on other Fords with ACC like an Escape?

I doubt it needs an electric brake booster since the ABS has specific criteria in how to and how fast to pulse the brakes as needed for CC and ACC.

People have tried installing ACC in an escape with the same drivetrain, without an electric brake booster and got the same results. Jerky slow speed braking and pretty much terrible stop and go characteristics. I doubt Ford would add a $1500 part to the lariat lux if it didn't need it for ACC. Bronco Sport models with ACC also have the electric assisted brake booster.

It has been a while, and my memory is not as good as I once imagined it was ... but I read a thread on another Ford vehicle forum, where ACC stop and go was implemented with FORScan, and it was found that the electric booster was required for stop and go to work correctly. Without it, the braking was not modulated properly, IIRC.

I wish I had bookmarked that. It might actually be on the FORScan forum.

If I am wrong on this then I am wrong and that is another part to add to the build. Just show me some solid documentation is all.

Add an extra $2414.01 for the booster assembly. They aren't mucher cheaper on an Escape at about $2100.

It's out there........I've done a ton of research myself to include Fusion, Bronco Sport and Escape forums. Find a bunch of VIN numbers for models with and without ACC and then go to Ford parts diagrams and every single VIN for a model with ACC will spec the $1500 electric brake booster and every single VIN for a model without it will spec the $260 vacuum assisted booster.

change * to 4 to enable the chime setting

untested yet
changing * to C should also work and open up other chime settings.
I can confirm that "C" works, but did not note any "other chime settings."

In the vehicle settings it gives an extra menu called chimes. It allows you to disable audible sounds on information screens.
