I see some great MPGs being posted but most include quite a bit of highway. Im pretty sure a high percentage (80-90%) of my driving would be in city or around town.

Does anyone have similar driving routes, and if so what MPGs have you seen?

I get around 22mpg.
Id say I do 80% city driving.
For comparison my 2017 subaru impreza avg was 28mpg. Check out fuelly.com I really like the site for researching more realistic expectations
Edit: I just noticed this was the hybrid section. I have the ecoboost motor

I do some door to door type stuff. Last trip averaged over 50 mpgs

I am just finishing my first tank of fuel. I've operated pretty much in ECO mode for 90% of the driving. Have a little less than 1/4 tank remaining and have gone over 500 miles. Says I have about 120 miles left. My driving is 2/3 in town, 1/3 freeway. Approx 43-45 effective mpg on the first tank.

The most impressive thing is when you're driving around town or navigating short in-town distances it runs purely on electric. Either way the cabin is very quiet in town and very good (for the price point) on the highway.

The value and utility of the Hybrid Maverick is crazy impressive. Far exceeds any expectations we had.

If you ONLY drive in the city from red light to red light and go no more than 50mph, you'll probably average around 45mpg (not driving like a grandma, but not driving fast either).

There's a little trip computer that calculates your MPG after each drive and I've even got 64mpg on a 9 mile city drive. It shows how many of those miles were driven in electric only mode vs gas.

Just watched this. I have the 2.0 eB, so don't have a dog in this fight, but am very impressed by the reported hybrid fuel economy numbers! Here he gets real world 44.4 mpg (5.3 liters/100 kms) in city driving!

This was my drive home from work the other day last week. This was driving mainly on 25/35 mph roads.

Hybrid owner here. I'm only halfway through my first tank, but averaging around the 38-40mpg rate. It's been really cold in Chicagoland lately, so I think the additional ICE use to help with heat has been taking a slight toll on mileage. It looks like the warmer climate owners are getting better MPGs, so I hope to get my average up in the spring.
I TRY to remember to use ECO mode, but really hate that I have to switch it every time I start the truck. Staying in the last mode should be something Ford corrects. Not sure if it's just me, but I seem to get much better mileage on the medium length trips 10-20 miles, and not so good on the short drives (under 5 miles). Still getting the hang of driving a hybrid, so it should only get better from here on out.

Your observation is spot on it does get better after few tanks full and the driver gets better also
