We brought the Maverick up to the the NC highlands (Sapphire Valley, NC) and have been driving around on hiking and shopping adventures. I recognize that when you're coming down a mountain pass, as we were this afternoon, you'll get good MPG in any vehicle. I got 101MPG over 7 miles this morning coming back from a hike. What surprises me more is how great the MPG is overall, even when you factor in that we have just as many uphills as downhills. Nearly every trip looks like this one in the end.
