All my kids got used $2500 cars as first cars. They all have fender benders and make mistakes. Then they get nicer vehicles as second cars after they stop playing demolition derby. I never put any of em on my insurance either. My oldest was the litmus test. My wife argued with me over it, I dug my heels in and said no kids on my car policy. I get good rates because you and I are safe drivers Let her prove that she is going to be a good driver on her own policy. Well 5 fender benders and 2 totalled cars in 3 years, and this kids insurance cost skyrocketed. Costs her more per month than her car payment on her 3rd vehicle a used toyota Corolla. If she was on my policy, I would have been paying that extra. No thank you. Needless to say, I proved my point. Hope your kid is more careful than mine are/were
I took it one step further and required my four kids to earn the money for their first vehicles, all in the $2500-3000 range.

They all had to buy their own vehicles and insure them themselves actually. I added that into my previous post. They had to work part time jobs and save up. I found her a perfect condition garage kept 1989 Buick century with 89,000 on it for $1400 she didnt want it. What she bought was a lexus LS300 with 256,000 on it for $2500 against my wishes. A worn out japanese luxury car. A camry with a fancy L on it. More money for a worse vehicle. Car ended up not nickeling and diming her to death, but $100 and $200 her to death till she totalled it. Car always looked like a dumpster inside the way she kept it. Food wrappers piled high. Terrible the way she treated something she payed for. Not my money though, I could care less. I told her try to maintain it because it's worth something as a trade. She had liability on it when she took out a light pole with it. In hindsight im glad she didnt get that buick century. It was well cared for all those years , she wouldent have appreciated it, and it would have been the car that hit the light pole. All my vehicles including my Mustang GT and my Silverado except for this maverick are standard shift. None of these kids know how to drive them. Perfect anti theft device to prevent joy rides🤣🤣🤣

Can I use the $750 College Rebate with this?

Just completed my order with Granger. Gave them $100, they gave me a buyer's order with my specs, and $3000 off MSRP. All good.

Are you planning to drive it home, or shipping, after it arrives?

I just paid the $100 and am awaiting the order confirmation email from Ford. This is the 2nd one I've ordered from Granger. If my wife likes this better than her CRV, we will sell the CRV as it has appreciated $8000 in the 2 years we've owned it. I may go for a trifecta......

Got the order errors corrected, all there is to do is leave the $100 deposit. Happy Days :)

It has been said by many others elsewhere on the forum - any one of those add-ons that can be purchased directly with Granger separately, or online (mats, flaps, air deflectors) are highly likely to delay your build date! I realize most will be waiting a while to get their truck through this deal (Granger was great to work with BTW!), but it could easily be the difference between 6 and 9 months or longer.

To put it another way...the guy that orders tomorrow and doesn't include those items is going to get their truck before you do!

Only accessory I ordered w the truck was the drop in floor liners. I contacted them back and told them to remove the liners from the order because I was going to just get the weathertech ones since they fit higher up behind the pedals and on the sides. Hopefully that let's me get mine sooner😊

Took advantage of this. Was on the edge, but this pushed me over.

Thanks Granger - I'll be looking forward to it and grabbing a flight to come pick it up when time!

So am I seeing this correctly, 3k under msrp, plus Iowa tax (I'm in Iowa), and only fees are doc and tag???

Example: 30k truck - 3k discount - 500 farm bureau discount = $26,500.... 26,500 + 1,325 Iowa 5% tax + 225 doc and title = 28,050

is this looking right?

Outside of having to wait for a Maverick, which you have to do regardless of where you order, there appears to be no downside to this. Might have to get in touch with Granger!
