Consensus on preferred engine oil?

I’ve read many articles and suggestions on Maverick preferred oil. I have a 2024 Hybrid and would like to know what is the suggested oil from this group. Thanking y’all in advance.

You have to go out of your way to find a bad motor oil these days. Valvoline is probably the best brand though, particularly the restore and protect product for high mileage engines, but not many Maverick owners are in that range. Pennzoil Platinum is also consider slightly better than the others.

I use SuperTech with a Premium Guard XL filter. Used oil reports on this forum convinced me to go from my usual 5,000 interval to 7,500 at least. The filter matters just as much as the oil for extended drain intervals.

I keep that updated on Carfax, My Garage. MTC doesn't really want to know when members perform a particular oil change. Post #4 was the thread closer here.

Just look for one that meets the specs that Ford specifies in your user manual. I'm using the Mobil 1 Hybrid for my '26 (and was for my '25).

Any engine oil that meets or exceeds Ford WSS-M2C961-A1 requirements is fine.

The cheapest oil I can get is when Costco has their Kirkland motor oil on sale. I have used Costco's motor oil for years and never had any issue with it, so I will continue to buy Kirkland motor oil when they go on sale.

I use Motorcraft Full Synthetic 5W30 in my 25 EB. First time I have ever used a Motorcraft fluid of any kind.

Blackstone Oil Analysis after first oil change showed the additives were still very robust.

Will continue to use.
