It is never gas only. It is either in battery-electric (battery only) or hybrid-electric mode (which can either be using both the battery and the ICE for propulsion, or using the ICE for battery charging and propulsion).
Asking questions is how we figure stuff out. Also we read the manual, but it isn't too helpful for this one.
Sure, there isn't a "gas engine only" display because the gas engine is never running alone as a conventional ICE (internal combustion engine) driving a geartrain in a transmission. It...
Count me in as interested for the revised version, hopefully it comes out soon - I have a long trip planned for September and am waiting for this to be released for my '26.
It also works well when you are a two-lane 55MPH highway stuck behind an John Deere 8R that is going flat out .. at 35MPH .. in a no passing zone.
Just sayin'.
Googling this seems to indicate it's not just a problem for Maverick owners.

Also some folks just force the phone to update Google Play services and it works. IDK, don't have a...
If you are getting an Android Auto error it might help to state which phone you are using - so, I have a older Pixel 6 Pro and have not yet seen any issues with Android Auto (used wirelessly) at all.
Hahahahaha! Yesterday, because of this thread, I went back in there and turned it on for the 15 minute drive to and from my local dive bar.
It's still annoying.
The wireless charger in the Maverick got some pretty poor reviews, hit or miss on working well.
Search the forums and you will find that many have found a way to add third-party solutions.
Yep. Like below. The "steering wheel with lines" button turns lane keeping/lane centering off and on. If you disable the lane centering on the infotainment screen, then it only toggles lane keeping off and on, and the icon on the gauge cluster will not show the steering wheel between the lines.
I think its actually "spats"? And yes, they are there for aerodynamics.
Anyhow, I like my @MABETT mud flaps, they work very well to keep the rocks/dust/dirt/local horse poo off the truck. There are plenty to choose from, some more for looks than function, but I think most agree to look for...
I think it will make the handling squirrely if you soften the back up, not to mention you will lose load capacity. Rear springs are stiffer because it's a trucklet and is supposed to carry a load.
I've not seen anyone that has modded the truck for a softer ride in all my readings - I think you...
I once bought an SVT Focus that was a buyback due to problems with the dual-mass flywheel, fixed by Ford before it ended up at my dealership - it was mechanically reliable, had it for six years, the only issues I had with it was the electroluminescent factory gauge backlight went out on the...
The Atkinson ICE will run as needed to keep the HV battery charged, so in addition to the A/C noise you will have that sound, and the Atkinson is not known to be a quiet motor due to it's nature.
There was at least one post I read somewhere (maybe not even here) where the A/C compressor sound...
