In my old age, one factor here bothers me (just one?). If you own a vehicle and it treats you well and never breaks down and you love it soo much, why are people programmed to get rid of it???
Late stage capitalism compels them to....

Programming is the perfect word. "You'll own nothing and love it" ~ Klaus Schwab. It is amazing to see people treat vehicles like cell phones, and trade them for a new feature. Always looking for the new tech dopamine hit.

But my neighbor bought a new car and I feel “outdone”. The Silverado was 7 years old and people started thinking I must have lost my job.
Since the OP wanted his old truck back, it must have still been treating him well.

Have you checked the air pressure in the tires? I was not happy with the way my 24 drove on the 750-mile drive home. It was all over the road. Assumed it was just me used to driving a 24-year-old K3500.Got home and got the air pressure gauge out. 47 to 48 psi in all four tires! Guessing that got overlooked on PDI. Drove much better after that. 50,000 miles on it now, still like it. But it still has some quirks that drive me nuts!
That happened on my first Maverick, truck way like floating, I knew that it was right away got home from dealer tires were at 45lbs I corrected was fine. They don't use A techs for PDIs, I checked all the fluids no problems for15k till I sold for a Lariat. What a great little truck and a looker.

Do you guys not understand that driving will increase the heat in the tire which will increase the tire pressure? Pressures should checked cold. If you adjust a hot tire to 38psi, it will be under inflated once it’s cooled.

Just picked up a 2026 XLT last month and I did notice a quirk with the steering at freeway speeds. Tends to walk a little bit…thinking alignment may need fine tuning but it’s not significant. Or it may just be me getting use to a vehicle with a shorter wheelbase than my previous truck.

Haven’t had any issues with the infotainment. I use Car Play almost exclusively though. Haven’t had issues with miss hits on the screen.

Did you take it to the dealer to see if it needs an update?
The only problem I had was when I accidentally turned on that annoying lane assist which made it feel like something was loose. Just a matter of getting used to it I suppose. Make sure that any of your nanny assistance devices are off if you don't need them.

Net/Net,

The OP had ~1 post, has not been seen for 2 days since his post, and there's a high likelihood that his post wasn't factual and was an attempt to overcompensate or diverge from his true issue(s).

Hmmm ... As far as the 45psi reports, if tires were properly inflated to spec ~32psi, you would have to drive on asphalt approaching the temperature of molten lava to get them to that pressure.

For transport, tires are typically over inflated for good reason - to help prevent flat spots for sitting motionless while tied down. It is actually quite common for a vehicle to be released with inappropriate air pressure in the tires.

As was said, the prep work isn't always performed by those who are the sharpest tacks in the box..
They are also subject to making a mistake, like any other human.
I've had wonky tire pressure on new vehicles myself. If you rely completely on someone else to never make a mistake be prepared to be disappointed.

Just this week I got a new set of rubber on my wife's car.
When I checked the tire pressure the next morning while the tires were cold, they had 40psi when they should have been around 30. No big deal. There were also several lug nus that needed a few extra foot pounds to be torqued in spec. That is something everyone should do or get done.

That's possible.
It could also be that the guy got frustrated with his inability to deal with the difference in technology, and was just venting.
Vehicles have changed "just slightly" in tech enhancements since his prior vehicle.

There is a learning curve. I went from a 2012 and life in the cockpit is different in a 2025 model, but I'm an IT guy, who knows what experience the Silverado driver has. We will likely never know.

To me, most of the issues seemed to be in the portion of the vehicle just aft of the steering wheel.

We are going to return our 2026 XLT Maverick to Ford. The infotainment amongst other things are unfortunately god awful!
Half to time the infotainment screen crashes and goes blank, often at a critical time when we need sat nav! Ford says this is normal and to switch off the engine and open the door.
You look at the infotainment screen for a split second, and due to the too quick steering you are on the oncoming traffic lane.
When the infotainment is working the screens are impossible to navigate, and I’m very tech savvy!
When you do press a screen button you inadvertently hit the heated sears or another wrong screen button and this is on a perfectly flat road.
It’s often impossible to get to the nav screen half the time or the Spotify screen or any other screen.
Did I mention the steering is too fast, I have constantly correct it on a straight road,
My wife is in agreement to all this and doesn’t hardly touch the infotainment screen, she navigates from her phone.
I no loner have YouTube
How the hell does ford release this crap, and make the customer do all the bug testing. I would have been fired if I released crap like this!
I would welcome your feedback, thank you
Sorry to hear that. I have had my 2023 Ford Maverick lariat hybrid for three years and I have never experienced such a problem. Good luck.

Just wondering what the dealership/manufacturer's policy is on returning vehicles? Is that regulated by state law?

No. Here’s AI answer
In most cases, you cannot return a car you just bought, as sales are legally binding once you sign the paperwork. There is no federal "cooling-off" rule for auto sales. Your options depend on dealer-specific return policies (e.g., CarMax, Carvana), state-specific used car laws (like in California), or if the vehicle qualifies under state "lemon laws" for major defects

That's what I did think. It's not like an easy step to make

For the record, 65 year old Medicare guy here (be careful with generalizations) who really likes his 24 hybrid Lariat. Big upgrade over my 2017 Frontier: gas mileage more than twice good, ride, steering and too many tech improvements to list. With Apple CarPlay and Spotify I can say any song ever, and bam it plays. Audio books. Nav systems. Adaptive cruise. Auto high beams. The only thing I’ve turned off is lane assist.
I'm thinking that his steering "issues" may be his lane keeping assist because it does have a different "feel" in certain circumstances. We've had customers mistakenly turn their lane keeping assist on and coming in complaining about their steering. We showed them how to turn it off. And they were happy. I keep mine on. But I do notice a different feel
