The video is very well put together. Very impressive, Ford.

I'm also interested to see if some of these enhancements in aerodynamics make it to Maverick.

I'm all over this BEV truck and will 100% buy one in 2028 (about the 5 year point for my 2022 Maverick). As an engineer, I love everything Ford showed. I'm very curious to see what they did with the styling. Truck buyers are finicky about that. You can see styling hints in the video.

I also love that Ford isn't cutting the traditional Maverick crowd out of the picture. Looks like ICE and hybrid will continue as offerings.

I was all in on a Lightning until I realized how heavy, expensive, and inefficient it was. Winter mile per charge was awful.

I’ll be all in on this new platform if it solves the above problems.
I’ll trade my 25 Mav in for the new EV. It’s what I wanted all along.

So apart from the truck, this platform will apparently also be used for a two and three row crossover, a compact sedan, a larger sedan, and a van.

Seems like the revolutionary manufacturing is just taking a page (or a few of them) from Tesla's playbook. Less fasteners, gigacasting, aero, etc. You know, the stuff people have panned them for building cheap vehicles that are rattleboxes.

I'm still highly skeptical you'll get much for $31,600.

Very interested to see what this looks like, as well as a compact / mid-size crossover if they can actually hit the 30K starting MSRP. Would also like to see Ford just go with what regulators in China are already doing by banning the ridiculous hidden door handles, and forcing a backtrack on moving every physical button to a touchscreen. I think people are over EVs trying to be flying saucer technology, we just want cars that work.

I wonder how long the bed is?

Also, too bad for me that my state legislature put a punitive tax on hybrids and full EV.

Lot's of hype....the pressure is on to deliver a product that meets it. Given Farley's track record, I remain skeptical, but I hope they prove me wrong on all fronts. If so, I'll be first in line to order. 🤠

Some sketches, we'll see how close the final truck is to these. They're bold, polarizing, but I kinda love how Ford took a swing with the styling.

It was interesting to see that Ford is addressing reparability by marking where body shops can cut the structure and glue on replacement pieces. Hopefully that will lead to fewer insurance write offs than the Maverick has had

Love this video. Thanks for posting. I too am very interested in seeing this develop. I don’t think those sketches are going to be even close to the look. I read an article yesterday in fact where the Ford rep quoted said it would very much look like a Ford truck. If it does, and they keep it well equipped and in the low to mid $30‘s this will be a huge hit.
