OK, I’m venting mostly, but… I Received a loaner 2025 Big Bend Bronco Sport today while 25 Mav was already in shop for warranty work 🙄 and I’m a bit disappointed Ford put some things in the lowest end Bronco that my highest trim Lariat Mav doesn’t have.

Instrument Display - my #1 complaint in Maverick. Looked so much better until this 2025 update. Anyway, wow, the Bronco Sport’s looks WAY nicer. Even more truck-like if you ask me.

Drive mode “GOAT” knob in the center instead of on the steering wheel. And lots of modes. No reason the AWD Hybrid shouldn’t have an “off-road” mode.

2) The HVAC is so much quieter. Why? I hate in cold weather on my Mavericks HVAC defaults to warm air blowing on the window. It is so loud I often switch to the vents manually.

3) why do the cloth seats, especially the headdress, I feel so much more comfortable than the leather seats in the Maverick?

4) Broncos sport has a much larger sunroof w/ power shade AND power window. Us Lariat people get a manual shade. F150 Lariat gets a power shade 🤔

5) not on bronco but another complaint- ridiculous there is no self dimming driver, side mirror or rearview mirror on the highest trim level of the Maverick.

6) build quality in the Broncos noticeably ever so slightly better. Not as many rattles, quieter cabin, small things like the rubber trim piece on top of the display screen instead of hard plastic in the maverick.I like the little air vent coming out of A-pillar too.

7) hard to do on a pickup, the ever so slightly bit of extra room in the backseat is huge for car seats and I think this is because the Broncos seats are reclined, just a little bit in the rear compared to the upright of the maverick.

7.5) the overall driving position of the bronco feels better than the Maverick. I’m talking about room in the foot well, the position you sit in, your view, looking out the windows, the placement of the rearview mirror are not blocking the window if you’re a taller person… those things.

8) FACTORY FOG LIGHTS. Come on Ford. Starting to feel like Mercedes-Benz with lack of options and price for the ones you do provide.

9) Homelink!

The Maverick business model is different:

1. Announce a 20k hybrid truck. Make very little of it.

2. Have high trim buyers subsidize the XLs. Keep the build quality of the Lariat, Tremor, and Lobo the same while providing tacked-on accessories to drive margin.

3. Hike prices for the 2025 refresh. Cut costs again by removing physical controls. Introduce a cheaper instrument cluster. Etc. etc.

I totally agree with you wholeheartedly. As much as I like the Maverick, the B.S. is definitely better equipped. You would think that two cars which share the same production line would be identical on equipment. But then, that would raise prices on the Maverick lowering the appeal that it had at launch. But now that they're so similar in price, they should be speced the same way. Stuff like homelink, auto dimming mirror, fog lights on EVERYTHING beside the Lobo, should be standardized at this point.

Does the bronco have a power passenger seat unlike the Maverick?

Yeah, I think is a legit list, for the most part. I do wish there were a more luxe version of the Maverick. Or that the $40k+ trim were as luxe as its pricetag suggests.

Maybe once Toyota brings some real competition to market, Ford will be forced to up their game.

People say this, but all the data points to XL's as being the least produced and purchased trim of the Maverick.

The only thing I miss on the XLT Maverick that the 2023 BS BB I had was BLISS!!

They’re certainly what populates the lots these days.

I agree the BS dashboard is nicer and that Mavericks of ALL trims (especially Lariats) are missing features that feel like they've been removed to spite buyers

But the silent, smooth, QUICK and fuel-efficient driveline makes a hybrid Maverick feel like the Starship Enterprise compared to the lawn-tractor like 1.5 EcoBoost 3 cylinder

You could combine parts from both to make something pretty much perfect. Why Ford doesn't do it is a mystery to me

Wife has a '23 BS BB, I have the Maverick. Both have made the trip from upstate NY to FL.
That 1.5L does OK on the highway. Decent fuel mileage, handles the PA hills respectfully. What's really hard to adjust to is the difference in the feel and the sound. It feels like it's constantly in a gear higher than it should be due to the "missing" cylinder. Works OK though.

I had a Bronco loaner a year ago. I liked the seat memory as we have 2 drivers switching adjustments.
