I have an xl with 4k tow. Maverick Gvrw is about 2800. 2800 divide by 2 is 1400 pounds, for the maverick. Bronco sport gvrw is about 2400 divide by 2 and bronco sport gvrw is 1200. Maverick and bronco sport both come stock with continental tires h rated at 1850 pounds. Aftermarket wheels I have seen are between 1400 and 1800 pound load. I cannot find load ratings for ford oem wheels. I know the maverick stock wheels have been tested load wise for that truck.. The bronco sport oem wheel I found is an 17 by 7, 63.4 bore, 37.5 offset, 5 spoke silver alloy Model number m1pc1007f1a. Only question I have could Ford have designed the Bronco sport with a lesser grade wheel that doesn’t meet load specs for Maverick, even though it fits. Please advise. Thoughts. Thx

There might be a load rating stamped on the back of each wheel.

The lowest BS tire I find comes with a 102 load index (1874#), I can't imagine that Ford would under-size the wheel spec below what the tires are rated.

My Maverick rims (4K) say DOT-E on the inside. Which if this is the load range ??? that would be E weight capacity, which per DOT is 1,520 lbs. I have 18" Bronco Sport wheels on my Mav but would have to remove one to check.

@SLJ, where did you find that DOT chart?

I just did a search for "DOT E range" and found a DOT paper listing ranges/pressures/weights/etc. for tires/wheels along with a whole bunch of manufacturers tables also.
