I had a 1" lift and 245/65/17 on my 2021 Base Bronco Sport and had a lot of fun exploring and soft off roading with it.

Tomorrow will be the first time taking out my 2024 MavFX4 out in the dirt. Looking for to seeing how it handles. Not as much clearance but better suspension and more horsepower.

Has anyone else had experience with both? I'm hoping it's significantly more fun considering the power and ability to turn off traction control.

We just picked up a '23 Big Benz Bronco Sport for the wife, and I have a '22 Maverick XLT/4K/FX4

Bronco - hasn't even seen the lawn let alone dirt.
Maverick - Local fair last year has a HUGE parking lot with an "always wet" boggy area through the middle. Last year it had rained quite heavily during fair dates and the night we decided to go they were directing all incoming traffic down the hill towards the bog. If you had a 2WD or an AWD vehicle, you were detoured to the left to go around to parking on the other side of the bog. If you had 4WD, they sent you straight through. Sure enough, I got sent straight. I stopped at the leading edge and was looking at the ruts previous trucks had left and wasn't too sure.
Switched to Mud/Rut mode, changed the display to Intelligent AWD and went for it.
To my pleasant surprise, it NEVER SPUN A WHEEL. Drove straight through like it was dry, all the time I watched the AWD display dance in red and green as the traction control did its thing.
Every other truck parked on the other side was covered by wheel spray and I only had mud on the tires up to the rims.
Needless to say, I was IMPRESSED

Both have open differential awd systems. Depends if you fancy clearance or power as far as which one you may find more fun to hoon around in.

Congratulations with your new Maverick. I think it has several limitations approach, deparcher, and crest angles besides a little longer turning diameter. For light or soft off roading besides ground clearance I doubt the others would come in to play. Let's us know how it went or your experience/review. I think and hope like was posted you will be pleasantly surprised, or "impressed"

I have the 2022 Lariat AWD and live in the Arizona mountains and have gone out with buddies with both 4x4 and UTVs and been able to do pretty much all the 4 x 4s did. Of course with the UTVs another story...Point is that I really haven't found any back road trails I would not take my little beast on. And by the way ..it also dod fantastic in the snow up here
