I have a 3 year old hybrid Maverick with 15,000 miles that I park for a month or two every winter without any trickle charger. Never had a problem with the battery or the truck not starting.
I see you are located in Florida. That definetly helps because of warm climate.

Vehicle built date May 2025. Vehicle not sitting for long times.
Oct 29-25, & Nov 1-25,Vehicle in battery saver mode. And of course, the best part is it tells you to start the truck to charge the battery.
Will not start no lights or anything , called roadside assistance and they came out & jumped with one of those little USB / battery jumpers. Took it to the dealer, they could not find anything wrong, they said they did a software update, but I could not find anywhere in the app that showed it was updated.
Nov -26-25, Nov-28-25, same as above. Put my voltmeter on the battery =4.6+/- but the second I put (my harbor freight VIKING 1000 Peak Amp Jump Starter and Power Bank on the battery,,
(NOTE: DIDNT EVEN TURN IT ON) The voltage jump up to 14.6 +/-. Had the Ford dealer tow it to the dealership, as of 12-2-25 have heard nothing from them!
The vehicle has a battery protection system (BMS) that should cut the power off to the battery when the voltage gets lower than 12+/-, but that don’t seem to be working.
Is it time to start a recall petition? just say'n

Absolutely or a CLASS ACTION.
It seems a class action is the kick in the 🫏 that only thing Ford listens to.

The battery saver functions could be messed up - since it's computer controlled - and we know what can happen with computers.
It doesn't cut power to battery - it reduces it. Or you'd never start a hybrid.

1st I've heard of it failing to come on. Did remote unlock work - or had to use key?
Maybe it is cutting power - incorrectly.

Then again you sound like you have a parasitic drain - wipes battery out pretty quickly to unusable level.

Sounds like they did the one AC software update for the biggest one Ford is aware of.
If it keeps up then it's another drain issue - which will take some time to track down.

Yours is unique issue.

And since a dead battery leaves a vehicle not moving - not considered a safety issue for recall usually. That's ultimate safety - not driving.

It's not.

Perhaps you heard something about the eCVT back in early 2000's.
That would be the specific aspect with Toyota.

You can find complaints on their's too, along with others more frequently.

From 2025 FORD MAVERICK XLT 2.5L HYBRID OWNER’S MANUAL
"Note: Your vehicle has a battery saver feature that shuts your vehicle off when it
detects a certain amount of battery drain, or after approximately 30 minutes of
inactivity in accessory mode."
" Did remote unlock work" (no) the first & second time it happened the doors were unlocked. (I normally lock it just out of habit)
#3 & #4 it happened the key fob did nothing I had to use the physical key & manually unlock it.
You called yesterday and left a message have not heard anything back yet I am still using their loaner vehicle.
Dec-4 still sitting at the Ford dealer, has not moved in two days according to the Ford Pass app.

Hopefully, final update dealer installed new battery, under warranty at no charge to me.
When I drove off the lot the battery was at 75% state of charge, by the time I got back to the office, 5.4 miles it was up to 78% ¯\_(ツ)_/¯….
13+/-miles from office to home got it up to 81%.
Got to the office this morning 12-5-23 battery was approximately 81% but wait there's more,, passenger front window decided to stop working, up an inch weight,, up an inch weight.. etc.
Called my local dealer manager at 7:31 AM and have not received a call back yet as of 12:00 PM.

Anyone try this Monitor with notifications yet?

Truck left in Accessory mode.
Battery Saver will turn truck off, as if you turned key to Off - not turn battery off.
Any normal micro-drains remain that occur when truck goes to sleep after max 75 min. Probably normal drains during the 75 min too.
Same response as if you leave cabin light on or door ajar leaves it on - eventually battery saver will turn it off.
Battery Saver is also the term given when cabin lights are turned off sooner and sooner on entry/exit.

With remote unlock disabled - you had a drain to bad low levels.
They must have recharged it though - if remote access is possible and no Deep Sleep Mode was enabled (another battery saver step) and alerted in Fordpass.

They are probably seeking advice from Ford as to where to start troubleshooting a parasitic drain.

The underhood fuse box is interesting - you cannot open it for access to the fuses and test to see what is causing a high draw when it should be asleep - the act of opening that box disconnects it from the 12V system and disconnects everything.
Wild and stupid, unless they have some harness adapter.

Or go to Walmart, they have an AGM for $190
Installation is free and it is pro rated for 4 years.
Thats right FOUR years.
Think about it !
I trust the Walmart battery. Would not allow Walmart to install the battery. Skill level and training of the auto center employees is poor.
2023 Maverick Hybrid with first deep sleep today so unfortunately it has joined the sleep club.

I'll tell you, I miss my 2008 Camry Hybrid, that thing was bullet proof. Never needed a new 12v battery (AGM Panasonic, made in Japan), even at 16 years old with 150k miles. No major repairs, but I think it would have needed a new timing chain soon. Otherwise tires, brakes, and fluid changes were all I had to do with that. These modern cars are just troublesome with how they are setup. Sounds very much like the newer Toyota/Lexus Hybrids have similar 12v battery issues, just like the Maverick. Seems like anyone who doesn't have long commutes just gets poor 12v battery life with them too.

Using a Battery Tender (BT) or Battery Minder can be helpful.

Agreed. Still shouldn't need one, and driving 2 hours a day should not be a requirement for vehicle ownership.
Absolutely, I couldn't agree more.

Our Badlands gets driven very little -- typically to the grocery store, which is 6 miles one-way. So 12 miles r/t with the engine started twice and back home the voltage is typically 12.75V+/- (after resting a few hours).

I've read several posts in which the author recommends driving 2 hours a day (as you said). I'm not sure where that comes from. If that's the case and the battery is good, something is wrong with the charging system and/or there is a heavy phantom load.

In any case, even though our charging system seems OK, I connect a BT after it sits for a few days and the voltage decreases to ~12.6V. I wait a while to hook it up because I like to keep an eye on the rate of discharge.
