Dropped card in windshield defroster vent

As title says, i dropped a parking card in the vent. Haven't tried to go after it yet as I dont really need it for a few weeks.
So jumping on here to see if any has any advise.

Take it to the dealer, they are very gentle when they have to re&re the dash! Just kidding, don’t, but good luck, I don’t have any good advice, sorry.

I have to assume you meant the dashboard vent. You didn't state paper or plastic. I hope paper.
Everything in in the details.
You only may get one try at this so you might have your tools handy.
I'll suggest you get what I call an olive picker. Pictures below.

You're going to want to turn your windshield vents to high. If you're lucky, the card may blow up to the top where the grate is. That's where you're going to use the olive picker to gently and slowly grab the card pull it out.

My question is did it stop the dash rattle?

I didnt have one, hopefully not now

I think this thing fell way down into the splitter so i'm going to ask the dealership when i bring it in next week for the recall
I don't know why they made a grill with a sideways slit in it lol

yeah the dashboard defroster. i have one of those pickers at work so i'm going to try that at least

nah its a plastic card, i have to put it i my window for parking and i fumbled it and went down the perfect hole
i already turned on the defroster and didnt hear anything flopping around

Good call Glen Baker! I have that exact tool, got it years ago at Harbor Freight. Handy for many uses.

Well. We won't do that again, will we?
Sometimes the lessons that stuck with me were the ones I learned the hard way.
I had a ticket that I saved in that slot in the console.

With all the plastic in our interiors - if the heater can melt plastic we’re all screwed.

I would expect that vent may blow weaker if obstructed - but no big deal I think.
