I started hearing rattles soon after I got my 2025 Maverick lariat AWD. And I read all the suggestions in the threads which were helpful but nothing seemed to work until a gravel truck in front of me kicked up a rock that cracked my windshield. When the windshield was being replaced, I asked the guy about the little prongs that go into the A frame (or whatever the heck that’s called ) and he said he always takes them out when he replaces a windshield, as they really serve no purpose. Ever since the new windshield was installed. I haven’t heard a single rattle. Not only that, the noise level has gotten better so I am thinking I didn’t have the greatest seal as well. At any rate, I’m not suggesting that you drive behind a gravel truck hoping for a stray rock to crack your windshield so you can replace it. Just sharing the extreme example of my experience. I think those plastic pins were the culprit.

I agree with cucans, and thanks for the insight. That might be an assistance in production volume that has a bad conciquese in post manufacturer experience.

Maybe you got the lariat windshield. It has better sound proofing.

I had my windshield replaced at less than 950 miles and I had the Safelite guy cut the two little white pins off before he installed it. I can’t say that it made any difference on mine but I did read on this forum that they can cause noise so I told him to cut ‘em.

Anyone who owns a Maverick just needs to get used to random rattles popping up each day from various places, because it’s definitely going to happen.
I understand that the solution to the rattles is to turn the radio volume level up.

Same windshield as the original, which makes me think it was a seal challenge. Regardless, the truck is now extremely quiet and no rattles . Go figure!

Same exact thing happened to my 2022 just after I bought it. Tried to get the dealer to look at the rattle and they were 2 months out just for an appointment. Windshield was cracked by a rock 12 days after I bought it and the replacement from Safelite fixed it and no more rattles.

Thankfully I have a $0 Windshield replacement deductible, It was $100 back then.

$0 Windshield replacement deductible is a smart move!
