I have 2022 XLT FX4 that has the acceleration vibration that I'm sure is the CV shafts. I have the 1.5 inch ReadyLift kit so I'm sure they will deny my warranty even though I only have 31k miles.

While looking for new CV shafts I found some on NAPA website but I'm skeptical. It never asked which model or if I have a Tremor. It says it has a lifetime warranty which would be nice.

Has anyone bought CV axles at NAPA?

Don’t know bout that part but I’ve used Napa and their cheaper silver line for decades.
Saved money and got OEM quality on things like pumps, starters and alternators and such.
Worked for them on a parts counter and at the DC for five years.
DC, Distribution Center.
Napa line battery spec’s were super close to the Sears Die Hards back in the day.

The FWD Turbo Dodge crowd used to think Napa axles were pretty good. They weren't up to extremely built motors in the 400+ whp range, but were pretty stout below that. ... However, we don't know that they are made by the same people.

BTW this is when stock axles weren't lasting long at 250 HP-ish, but maybe had a hundred thousand miles on. So let's say 50% better than what Dodge put on. No guarantee they're 50% better than what Ford puts on, but seems Napa is intending to offer good stuff.

Hey, you put the lift kit in while knowing that it would change the CV joint angles, and now its costing you. Lift kits are a problem waiting to happen on a unibody. That's user-inflicted damage not covered by warranty, but maybe if you put it back to stock the mechanic won't notice the tool marks, the wrong bolts and the link extenders from somebody screwing with the suspension and allow warranty.

I absolutely understand the risks of the lift kit. I have no intention of trying to deceive the dealer or trick then into a free replacement. That's why I'm not even going to take it back to the dealer for this issue. Besides, they would just replace with the same crappy CV axles anyway. I want something better.

To me, the lift is still totally worth it. The extra 1.5 inches and larger tires opens up so many roads and trails that otherwise would be beating up my exhaust and undercarriage. Unfortunately the Tremor package didn't exist yet, so I made my own.

BTW, for other FWD drive vehicles in the past, Dorman used to do a "high mileage" replacement CV, making it half an inch or so longer to account for mileage wear on suspension etc.... Now if they bring one of those out for Mav, it might be more favorable for lifts... Thing was though, ppl only found this out when they rebuilt the entire front end with high end springs etc, and put these axles in and they didn't quite fit  so it's not really been advertised as a "feature".

Good to know they make quality stuff. It should be tough if they are giving it a lifetime warranty.

However, I still think it's a HUGE gamble if it will fit or not. Hybrid, EB AWD and Tremor all have different part numbers, and NAPA website never asked. It didn't even ask left vs right. That's what concerns me the most.

I think NAPA does a bit better job sourcing their parts than the other major chains to validate "meet or exceed OE specification" claims, but you have to be incredibly cautious using aftermarket parts in the drivetrain or electrical system where poor manufacturing tolerances or quality can have really bad outcomes. I used an aftermarket CV axle in a CR-V years ago that cost me thousands, luckily not a broken transmission or an accident. Replacing the axle for your lifetime warranty is not a 10 minute job either, and it's often hard to separate the ball joint without tearing the boot using a shade tree mechanic seperator, which on this vehicle the ball joint is integral to the control arm (all one unit).

The OE axles obviously have problems, but I would be trying to source the updated part before this at least.

Just a thought... If the NAPA axels are intended to replace stock units, their lifetime warranty may not apply on a modified truck. Might want to verify before choosing NAPA based on warranty.

Why doesnt the aftermarket make a rear lowering leveling kit. I have always installed these on full size trucks I have and had if not towing. An easy DIY option that doesn't mess with the front end. I would never lift a front wheel drive vehicle.

Hey, I put the 1” leveling kit on my 24 XLT Tremor and replaced the Falken 265 tires with Toyo 245 Open Country AT and am dumbfounded by how much better the truck rides, corners , and looks. It’s amazing plus I can now kick my best friends Rangers ass in off road!!!!
