I was at the Ford Service today for oil change.
I asked about this "CS recall" and it was looked up and said something about 'due to the lower capacity radiator being installed, blah blah blah, etc... change out radiator/fan for the up-rated part'
They also said "we've never done one, and don't know about parts availability at this time" (Parts person not available on Sat.) So was unsure about time required (day? a week?)
So, I'm not too reassured about it at this stage.
I also doubt the local dealer will ever see another Lobo, they sure haven't sold any (that I've seen available online or in lot anyway, its not really an area where it would be super popular..imo)

So, let me know hows others experience is on this..I'm waiting for a bit to get some feedback first.

All I can say it what the crap happened to Ford implementing enhanced quality control measures for MY25's and holding them for weeks for additional quality checks to reduce recalls. 🤷‍♂️

Ford should know how to properly build a vehicle by now, its not like this is something new for them...
For a startup or even company with only 5-10 years, sure sorting out processes takes time.
But Ford probably has assembled a car a few times before..

If I paid for one thing and received something else, I don't see this as optional.
I bought a Lobo partially for the reassurance of increased cooling capacity. Even if I won't be racing it, I expect it to include what they said would be included.
Or, give me a $5k rebate to compensate me, and I'll live with it as is.

Unfortunately I did not realize that 2025 was an ALL new 2.0L engine until I took posession. If I had known that (and Ford clearly communicated that was the case), I likely would have waited and kept my already proven [Mazda] 2.0 EB (Focus ST).
FWIW the same 2.0 EB in the 2025 Mavericks have been in the Escape since 2023 IIRC.

Interesting. Somebody on the assembly line may be in hot water...pun intended. The correct parts were probably nearby. Thankfully it does not affect my Mac..

Fan and radiator show in stock where I'm at, San Antonio, Tx. Probably wait as late as possible to get it done or trade it in; most likely trade it in .

Where do you find these photos? It sucks you are considering trading in your LOBO. I must admit I would feel the same way if my build had this issue. I think many of the 758 affected will do the same. Going through the process and having to endure any cosmetic or functional issues seems too much unless Ford offered a 100,000 mile extended warranty + free 5 year service as an apology.

I don't believe that the lower capacity cooling components were installed by mistake. I feel that Ford substituted at the expense of quality and customer satisfaction to gain profits from sales. They knew what they were doing.

Hell, it took four months for Pedro to reach into a parts bin and drop a parking sensor harness in the mail to my dealer. So what I suggest is that the parts dept have hands on your parts before you drop your little wolf off for a chill pkg upgrade. You don't want your vehicle pulled apart and disabled for an extended period of time.

All Ford is going to offer is some guaranteed downtime and inconvenience for 758 Lobo owners. But hey Ford sure enjoyed taking their money and roping them in. Well paid PR teams are already burying this issue as fast a they can. 😆

The “4K Tow Package” includes maybe a dozen main components & hundreds of parts. The Lobo only uses a couple of the main components (Radiator/Fan/TransCooler).

I agree with you that there was a parts shortage & decision made to “keep the line moving” with the available (standard) parts. I’m waiting for the other “customer satisfaction recall”shoe to drop eventually - the TransCooler components.

What a pain - but purchasing a first year model with an all new engine and drivetrain is now a risk unfortunately.

I’m going to ask my local dealer to send their Mobile Repair Truck to perform the switch. If they can’t, I’ll sit in the lobby/lounge for the hour or two it takes to do the switch. My retired nose pressed up against the service area glass when I’m not live posting pictures to this post;)
My Hero! 😃

It is a “Customer Satisfaction” Recall - the only way this customer will be satisfied is if they send their Mobile Service to my garage for the swap. It may take a few “can’ts & no’s” before they finally come over to satisfy me:)

LOL. They're actually coming over tomorrow for an oil change and airbag recall.
