Yes, the Hybrid is better IMHO. I have a 2025 Lariat hybrid and am averaging 33.6 with mostly driving around town and running errands. I love it and so far not one single issue.

I think the Honda would rust even more. Exhaust systems are generally not painted, treated, or coated. Some have aluminized pipes or cases, but those too rust. Just a little slower at first. I wouldn't worry about it; just keep driving your Maverick. Enjoy it.
