Heh.... yeah to be fair, mine was a '13 with 140k miles on it. Was still getting 43-ish MPG. Ran great though and I did my first brake job (front only) at 130k!

Only about 2 to 3 MPG lower than my Prius was here!

Yeah in my mind a plugin-hybrid is the best of both worlds. Decent EV range for around town and short commutes coupled with zero range anxiety for longer trips. EV's have wicked fast acceleration. Eats the battery if overdone though! There is a shop near London that does full-on EV converts...
