YOu need to learn to overlook a lot of posts, there are plenty of posts that will help. But YOu Tube has some great video
I just found a new Forscan mod on my own for the Maverick without any help from this thread. I used Forscan for my Focus ST in the past. These mavericks are still so new that new information is being found and shared everyday about mods and Forscan.

There could be a thread about Forscan and Warranty info. There is already a thread about how to use Forscan. I just don’t see the good in wasting peoples time and not staying on topic. All the posts are about warranty concerns. Rename it “Warranty concerns and Forscan” or direct those people to post in a different thread.

Sport mode give you quick acceleration and keeps the rpms/boost high.

I use it when I am at a stop and have to make a quick lane change after the light.
OR you could have planned ahead of time to be in the correct lane without having to "race" ahead of others.

Back to the original theme of this thread.

Does anybody have Forscan out there that can verify if a key fob can be removed using it?

I've reached my limit of four and need to remove at least one.

What's the fun in that? Besides she needs her Italian tune up every so often.

Will unlocking features void the warranty?
Only if said feature somehow led to the exact damage youre trying to claim as say warranty work. Say you unlock sign recognition and then 2 weeks later something in the drivetrain goes wonky and you take it in and they try to say hey they did this mod no warranty now... thats probably not the case they cant really link it to why the part failed.

That said lets say you unlock or do something that changes transmission modes and then 5 days later your transmission goes... the dealer would certainly unless they absolutely love you try to blame your "aftermarket changes" to the transmission program as the reason it failed..

I will get the name spelled wrong but its all been gone over in the Magnusson act stuff..that went something to the effect any time a dealer in the olden days before this would blame YOU and void(or try to) the warranty due to you using non factory parts or modifying the car in any way.. makers/dealerships used it as a money grab to see you put craggar SS rims, chrome valve covers, a aftermarket Flowmaster style exhaust and headers on your car and when some part..really any part went bad they would say sorry aftermarket parts void your warranty..sorry but we are not covering this... Magnunsson made it so that they(dealerships/manufacturers) have to prove that changes you made directly led to the failure to void anything making it much harder for them to deny you coverage... but the key is not impossible if they can directly link what you did..

it also doenst generally void the entire warranty either.. lets say you put a lift/tires and rims on they could link say U joints/cv boots maybe even something in the drive train is compromised because of different stress , angles, load weights.. so they may deny your CV boot and even possibly transaxle warranty saying your mods caused it.. but if your head unit or AC compressor or both heated seats went out/bad they would still honor that.

I found this interesting there are a few things id change so far.. but I dont know if its worth it to buy forscan just to disable the start stop deal.. and a lot of the other stuff is Lariat only and having the XLT unless I find something so annoying I hate it I think I will probably pass even though it is cool for those that find a lot of faults/irritations in their mavericks I may.. maybe I havent found them yet as im a new owner.

So far on my XLT the lone thing id do is start stop off..thats about it..
