I am used to having a current trip mode on the display and I was noticing a lack of that mode with my Lariat Eco FX4. I have Trip 1 and Trip 2, but not "This Trip" and yes, I checked if it was an option in the settings, but it is not.

I saw in the manual that it is a selection in some of the Mavericks. I'm not sure if it is a hybrid only or what.

Wondering if that is something that is easy to add with ForScan, like enabling all the drive modes?

Just curious. Could you not use like Trip 2 as "this trip" and then Trip 1 as "current tank" etc? Wouldn't that be the same as what you are looking for?

I like to use Trip 1 for current tank, Trip 2 for long term (or long road trip). Also, I don't want to reset each time I get in the car and go to work! I prefer to have a current trip that auto resets each time the truck sits for more than an hour (or whatever Ford defaults to).

I am inclined to say it has to be a similar mod to adding the Eco Coach screens that are talked about in other threads.

Of note, "This Trip" is a display only available on hybrids. Doesn't mean it cannot be manually enabled via FORScan on an EB's IPC, but it may or may not remind you every time that you drove 0.0 electric miles. ;)

On the 6.5" cluster (on FX4, Lariat, etc.), it gives you total miles, electric miles, time, and mileage. It's reset 1) when the vehicle is first turned on, 2) when the driver door is opened. The base cluster with 4.x" screen apparently only shows you a summary with electric vs. total miles, etc., when the vehicle is turned off.

That's fine...I'm only interested in time, distance and avg fuel economy.

I plugged into ForScan one time and realized I need to do quite a bit of learning 1st. I was totally lost. Its quite a bit different than the VCDS system I'm used to.
Hey I found the answer. Try

IPC AS BUILT
720-10-02
0800 407A

This is how your coding should look. Tell me if that works! It should bring up the hybrid trip summary you get after every drive.

Great find - curious what it shows when enabled not in a hybrid, since no Electric miles?

And since the Lariat has Trip 1 & 2 fields for Total and electric miles in a hybrid - did it enable that in your Trip options/fields?

I ask, because I'd like that Electric miles enabled in non-Lariat trim on Trip fields.

Much nicer way of knowing what the engine use has been, rather than a fleeting 1-time display on My Trip when you turn the engine off.

Thanks for any insight you've gained.

Actually, at this point I'm willing to just plug in OBD scanner and with Forscan find the logging field it's probably kept in, never mind a tweak setting.
