And now the Tremor parts are on national backorder

Dear RYAN:

Thank you for placing your order with Tasca Parts!

While reviewing your order 2050245 for processing I've discovered an issue. Part #PZ6Z-3B437-A is currently on national backorder with the automotive manufacturer and has no estimated date of resupply. We do not currently have this item in stock at our warehouse and are unable to acquire it at this time. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, sometimes the demand for certain parts and accessories exceeds manufacturers’ current supplies. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Exactly what happened with me. I need the driver side still to have both sides on the tremor axles and it's been out of stock

Hey all! Below is my video on how to swap your axles if you're looking into doing it yourself. I voided my warranty because I lowered my XLT. So, I went through purchasing and replacing my own. I also upgraded to the Tremor CV axles while I was at it! (Ecoboost only, Hybrids, this would be just a replacement video, not a Tremor upgrade for you) Hope it helps!
Why did you need to replace them? If lift kits are failing more often by making the CV angle worse, wouldn't lowering help mitigate issues by reducing the angle?

Passenger side one started leaking. In the video I explain that grease was being flung everywhere. If you look around the forum, it has nothing to do with being lifted, lowered, or stock. They're just bad CV axles.

Nice documentation OP, and apparently with some, no good deed goes unpunished.

Did I miss a per axel price on the tremor axle or the "new" version axel?

Thanks man! lol

I don't remember if I attached a price anywhere but I got mine for just a little over $200 bones for the CV Axle and nut. It was about $164 and $35 shipping!

You're welcome! That's reasonable I think. At that point, maybe worth a preemptive on my AWD and an upgrade too.

Thanks, disappointing to hear it's affecting lowered vehicles as well. I'll keep a closer eye on the boot and bookmark the video if I end up needing to replace, wouldn't be the first vehicle I've had to do them on.

Yes, lowering the Maverick would decrease the CV angle, which would decrease the load on the CV joint. Yet that has no bearing on whether or not the CV joint fails….. and what that tells you is that there is an inherent problem with the design and it is not what end users are doing to their vehicles that is causing the problem.

There are a lot of forum users here with stock height vehicles that love to blame lifting or lowering as the cause of CV failures…. Like, if they have faith that it is the lift kit causing the CV failure, and not a design flaw, that their stock height vehicles will somehow be magically protected from CV failures. Their faith tells them that the OEM axle design is immaculate and that anyone with a CV failure is a sinner because they lifted/lowered/used oversized tires/towed trailers excessively, etc. etc. The list of excuses is long, because the cognitive dissonance in this group is strong.

This right here. This is exactly what happened during the MK3 Focus DCT transmission problem too. People swore up and down that the transmissions were "fine" just cause theirs didn't have any issues when the forums were littered with posts similar to what we see on here with CV axles. I had a 2012 that had the trans give out 5k miles after the warranty. Got the car in 12 and it gave out in 14. Thank God the class action lawsuit that started in 14 had been resolved and I paid nothing out of pocket even with a ton of mods already done to the car.

I say this to say that just because it hasn't been addressed officially yet, doesn't mean things can't/won't change. I can see things developing to where something gets done for 22-24 owners especially if Ford did redesign the CV axles for 25.

Hello everyone. I'm from Poland and I have a question for you. I recently bought a Maverick and we don't have available halfshafts with the original designation NZ6Z-3B436-B or from Tremor PZ6Z-3B436-A. We only have available halfshafts from Ford Bronco with the number LX6Z-3B436-B. Will the Bronco ones fit the Maverick? Excuse the spelling but I used google translator.

Google tells me that's the axles for the escape and bronco sport, and it does not fit the Maverick.
This^^^ I believe the lengths are different

it would be great if someone took both in their hands and compared and measured them. I don't have such an opportunity in Poland, but if someone has such an opportunity, let them share their experiences.

there are probably some members here who do own an escape or bronco sport, in addition to their Maverick. but they probably aren't going to have failed CV joints in both vehicles or disassemble them just out of curiosity.

Ford says it doesn't fit a Maverick, so I'm not sure what the point is, anyway. sorry to hear about your failed axle but this other part is not going to help.
