I never understood the need for a cabin air filter. Cars for many years did not have them. On the cars I have owned that do have them I have not noticed any difference. But you figure they must do something and can't hurt other than cost.
If you like to drive with your windows open and breathe in nice fresh air, then you have defeated the purpose of the cabin air filter.

Here in Wisconsin we have lots of 'Dairy Air'.
Lol I live in an area of NJ that also has that dairy air. Must say it beats the garbage dump air where I used to live.

I think "nice fresh air" depends on your location :ROFLMAO:
I grew up around Houston, and to this day it is possible to navigate the metro area simply by smell. Different suburban towns have different refineries making different chemicals, and Deer Park, LaPorte, and Pasadena all have different... aromas. "If you smell Baytown - turn around." 🤣

My wife nor I knew her 10 yr Honda CRV had a cabin filter. But A/C was really week so looked in the manual to discover the glovebox filter. Wife and I agree that the Air Conditioning was at least 3 times more cold air after changing the Cabin Air Filter.

Did look for aftermarket Maverick Cabin filters and there are a number selling in pairs in the $11-$14 each when purchased in pairs.

I bought a couple of Luber-Finer CAFs with my last order from Rockauto and was disappointed to see they are 1/2" less filter media than the factory filter. I would advise avoiding them.

What a sneaky (and sleazy) way to cut costs and cheat customers, what, just to save a dime or 2? The images on their website do not show the "low cut cheat" on the filters. yes, definitely AVOID!

Super flimsy as well. The end you are looking at has the rigidity of toilet paper. I could not say that it has any type of sealing on the ends due to not having any rigidity. I'll use them because I'm cheap but will not order more.

Anyone have a part number for the glove box dampner? My new 24 XLT doesn't have one, is it supposed to from the factory?

If so I'll be asking my salesman.

Step 3a: When you break one of the clips holding the filter door closed, search in your miscellaneous screw container for something that will self-tap into the small hole that can be used to secure that side! 😭...🔩...😂
