No rain. Very good weather. Basically, I was stopped at a red light, it turned green and I accelerated like normal. The lady that hit me ran her red light coming from my right and I just didn’t have time to react. I, luckily, had witnesses.

No doubt in my mind, both the Chevy and your Maverick will be totaled.
I was wondering about the rain because I saw both your windshield wipers in the up position.

I found a dash cam to be a very good investment. Specially one that records GPS speed.

I hadn’t even noticed that to be honest. I’m not sure why they’re up. I will say, the truck felt as safe as it could I guess. I’m perfectly fine today, no soreness.

Others that know a heck of a lot more than I do will chime in, I'm just guessing based on other Maverick collision photos Ive seen as well as what some people were told by their insurance company as to why. I'm not an expert, but I did once hold a can of bondo in the 70s as my buddy worked in the wheel well of his '74 2 door Caprice Classic, but I digress. And I forgot, glad you're ok after that. It will rattle you.

Yeah I saw windshield wipers were up on both vehicles and I thought maybe it had been raining and someone slid.
Looks like she was coming down the exit ramp and blew through the red light hit you on the passenger side and pushed you across the intersection?

Well guys, in case you were curious. This is how the 25’s handle a hard hit to the side.

My 2022 got T-boned on an angle and spun around. The rear wheel kicked out. No airbag deployment, no injury, fixed nicely by the body shop at Al Packer Ford here in Baltimore. State Farm jerked me around on the claim. The truck sat in a towing company's garage for 26 days. I had it towed myself and started the repairs without them. It eventually sorted itself out. Fortunately, there was no problem getting parts for the repairs.

That really sucks after only 17 days. Glad you weren't hurt. I remember reading on here a couple of years ago about someone that had their Mav totaled on the way home from picking it up.

Hard to say if they total it or not, if it's found the other drivers at fault which should be hopefully it gets totaled.

She wasn’t on an exit ramp, just a typical 2 lane. Hit me and pushed me further across the intersection. Honestly, I don’t know what the lady was thinking. The light had to have been red for 3-4 seconds before she blew through it.

I'm always sorry to read of an auto accident. Still for as many getting hit and hit hard so many are walking away and posting about it. Seems the Ford Maverick at least seems to hold up to NHTSA testing results. Truly sorry for your loss but glad to read you are okay. Might want to go buy a lottery ticket?
