My 2025 XL got rear ended by a 1 ton Dodge pickup.
Totaled.
It gave itself up to save my neck and back.
I think in about five days it’ll be settled and I plan to get another Maverick. You betcha! :muscle::cool:
Glad you're ok and the Maverick did its job
Pictures of the damage?

Upgraded to a new XLT 2025. Thanks Allstate (the other guy’s insurance company). Worked out well actually. Now I have a moonroof, and all the controls are in the same place!

Yup. He didn’t maintain his vehicle. He claimed he had the breaks fixed the week before. Guess he didn’t.
Years ago we were re-ended at a stop light by a guy who just had a brake job done. The caliper broke in half and he hit the car in front of him and they hit us. It was definitely a faulty part but he did go to the cheapest shop in town to get his brakes done.
We were looking at the busted caliper sitting on the road, it looked brand new but I recognized the darkened area that marks a fault line in the metal (thanks Forged In Fire).
Some things are worth paying for . . . good car parts are one them.
