If you watch dash camera videos it's not uncommon for the wipers to come on during an accident. It can be due to a short caused by the accident, or just the force of impact can be enough to flip the switch. If the steering wheel airbag goes off it may also hit the switch while inflating.

Pretty sure that is a total loss. Hopefully they give you enough $ to replace it, out the door cost. The upside: you walked away from the crash. It did exactly what it was supposed to do: the metal box around you absorbed the energy of impact, instead of imparting that energy into your body and making you a total loss.

I was wondering about the rain because I saw both your windshield wipers in the up position.

I found a dash cam to be a very good investment. Specially one that records GPS speed.

X 2 on the dash cam. I have a front and a rear camera. Has SD card and will keep things for about 3 days before it records over the old stuff. Can also push a specific button and it will "lock in" the last (can't remember how many minutes) maybe 30 minutes that can't be recorded over until you do it at home on the computer.

No rain. Very good weather. Basically, I was stopped at a red light, it turned green and I accelerated like normal. The lady that hit me ran her red light coming from my right and I just didn’t have time to react. I, luckily, had witnesses.

she tried jumping in front of 5 cars waiting to go left, so she went to right lane and cut out in front of me. I didn’t stop. I had right of way.

Thank God you are okay. For many Georgia drivers red lights are just a suggestion. I keep having to remind myself to look left AND right when the light turns green…

It’s hard to remember since it was a blur, but I don’t remember having any glass on the drivers side. It seemed to be contained in the passenger side.
