Thank you.
My Lariat Maverick was $39,500. The 2024 F-150 I now have was $40,500. To me, that’s not enough of a difference to justify getting another one even though I loved it.
It was definitely a pain in the rear end, especially when it was due to someone else not paying attention. I have moved on to an F-150 and have been checking out dashcams.
I more or less told the adjuster that i preferred that they total it at this point. He said they're working to find the scrap value for it to add that in. I also assume that they would have to consider the diminished value amount as well.
Wow. These first estimates are way off aren’t they? I keep reading about insurance companies using scrap value to help determine a total. Anyone know anything about that?

I saw the 75% threshold as well, but isn’t that just the point where the law states that it must be totaled? Meaning, the insurance company could still decide to total it below the 75%? Anyway, the adjuster that actually looked at my vehicle said that it hadn’t been pulled apart yet and he...
I haven't heard from the insurance company yet, i just noticed that the repair estimate was on the website. Don't know if that necessarily means that it will for sure be fixed or not.
