I know '22 models had the center ambient light, but it was removed for 23-24 Lariats. Did they add it back for the '25 model? My '23 Lariat is dark in the area of the center console. I've been tempted to DIY something to give a little glow to my cup holders.Lariat ambient lighting has that. center console cubby area, both footwells, front doorhandle pockets. You can adjust the brightness also. (Minor peeve; I've never toggled mine 'off' but several times I've noticed they are off and then have to go back into the menus to turn the brightness up from zero/off.)

Ditto on this, my 2000 hyundia accents interior after 25 yrs. Still looks good.I should've known this going in but for me, it's the easily scratched interior. Even if you look at it wrong, it finds a way to scratch. It's all over the trim around the grab handle. The plastic has no give whatsoever. Just cold, hard, brittle plastic.
Even if "it's only a $20K truck" that doesn't give them the right to use the absolute crappiest plastic in the world. There's a lot of $20K vehicles that use nicer, injection molding plastic that's soft to the touch and is more scratch resistant. For example, the Mazda 3, Honda Civic and Kia K4.
And speaking of plastic, it likes to rattle from time to time. It depends on the outside temperature. This has been a common complaint since launch. Once you hear it, it's annoying as f***.
Ditto to this, always short on front ,and long on rear. Someday I will get it right or always back in.More driver peeve however for the life of me, I cannot judge how close I am when pulling into a parking spot. I'm always a few feet away. Had to install a wireless camera..
That darn Dachshund dog of mine would climb up on the drivers seat of my motorhome (class A diesel). Wanted to sit and watch us walk away through the RV park. We would get about a 100 yards away and suddenly this BLAST of airhorn (never letting up) would cause me to sprint back and take care of it. Air horns are active all the time. The paddle switch sits on a small shelf to the left side of the driver. I built a small cover that Velcro's over the that horn button. People in RV parks are much happier now!I saw a video where a couple go into the store to shop and their dog honks the horn and barks for them to return. I think that may be what's going on here.![]()
I have been thinking for some time now of purchasing that gizmo a fella on here made, that clicks through the modes to your desired one. If I remember it wasn't very expensive and easy install. Anyone here got one? How reliable is it? I know there is a thread "somewhere" but my laziness this morning is evident.I agree with you.
Ford certified the Maverick in standard mode for their fuel ratings therefore the truck has to default to that.
I read that on the 2025's the truck asks you whether you want to stay in the last mode you used and you press a button saying yes. It is not perfect, but it is a step in the right direction.
