I have just received the same notification as you did. I was literally going to start a thread and saw this one. My notice is word for word what you have posted. I was very dissatisfied that there is no remedy yet BUT anticipated for Q2 2025. Here’s to anticipation.
I think this is a different issue than the hybrid battery draw

Are they going to replace these with an updated Motorcraft AGM or the usual Motorcraft AGM that has been known to fail ? I had one that completely died after 6 months -

I guess I should be happy about this. Ford keeps refreshing my Maverick with free new parts. If they keep this up, in a few years I'll essentially have an all-new truck. Which is fine with me because my local dealerships does the recalls at zero cost in my driveway.

In the mean time I charged my battery with a trickle charger, bypassing the BCM (directly on the posts; I know this is NOT recommended) and then reset the BCM following the procedures in the manual. Ignition on with engine off, flash high beams 5 times and then press brake pedal 3 times within 10 seconds. Saw the battery light flash on the dash confirming BCM reset. Time will tell how much, if any that helps.
Also park it overnight with truck locked to run the "up to 8 hour" battery learn procedure with the battery fully charged.

Respectfully, how is this not a HYBRID thing? States Hybrid specifically in the article.

Duh.... If it's an internal battery short/defect it affects any of the cars that use that battery....UNLESS Ford has only installed the bad ones in the Maverick Hybrid (not likely).

How do you redesign and manufacture in a shirt time about 1,000,000 batteries?
My point is,if your battery went bad, they could at least replace it, with another " bad " battery that might last a cpl years until a re- design.

Not a Hybrid only issue, the OP with the recall has an EB. Also the safety issue that it may fail during a stop start is an EB only feature.... also many posters here with Batter issue also have have EB's
Thats the 2nd button(Stop/Start) I push after I start the pup..

I just received an alert from my insurance app about a 12V battery inspection recall for my 2022 Maverick. Unfortunately, there were no additional details or information provided. If anyone has more specifics about this recall, please share them here.

Thanks in advance!
I also got the message to have my 12 volt battery checked out. Since my Maverick will be 3 years old on March 9th, I decided to take it in and have everything checked before my 3 years are up. Used up my points for a oil change etc. and they said my original battery is still good and doesn't need replacement. (Hybrid truck)

Either my 2023 hybrid isn't included in this recall or it hasn't been loaded to the Ford recall page yet:

I've already replaced the battery with a Diehard Gold in June 2024. I got tired of the seemingly random battery saver events and dead battery. I wasn't going to wait for Ford to keep the truck for a few days, "fix" it (ie., charge the crappy Motorcraft battery and reset the BMS), then give it back just so it continues to happen. I don't have time to play their ridiculous dealer games.

And yes, I know I haven't had any of the recalls performed. All the issues people had after the PCM reprogram gave me pause as I had an 80 mile per day commute and I didn't want the truck dying on the 80mph interstate. I'll get them performed eventually.

I wish the Ford bot were still here. Maybe they could tell me who I can submit my bill to for my labor and cost of the AGM that I bought aftermarket in order to fix the issue caused by their garbage supplier QC.
The Foed bot did nothing except to tell you to see your dealer.

So this is a "Hybrid" issue.
I looked at Ford Pass and my Eco, shows NO additional recall..
I'm a late 2022 build...

Jerry
I also have a late build 22 Ecoboost. I put my vin in the nhsta site. And yes it is affected.
