Got to inspect my fuel tank undergoing recall inspection

Finally my Maverick Lariat, 2.0, tow pkg AWD with sprayed bed liner was delivered to the dealership on Friday 1/7. Went to see it and it was on the lift with fuel tank already dropped. I actually looked closely at the fuel tank and did not see any obvious holes in the tank . It was pointed out to me , some slight scratches where a drill bit could have touched it. Was also told they took pictures to send to Ford and were waiting for Ford to tell them what to do! No new tanks have been ordered as of yet.
I can only imagine how long this will take. LOL !! #ordering #supply chain, #weather delays

Sadly even a light scratch will likely warrant a new tank. Hopefully Ford can ship it out quickly!
