I don't think the Lariat is worth it. IMO what you get isn't worth the 3K+ increase. If it came standard with CP360 and ACC - it would be a much much harder choice and I think worth it.

You aren't getting actual leather seats, you aren't getting ventilated seats, upgraded sound system or sync 3/4. Virtually anything that's a real upgrade requires additional options. The lariat trim is basically giving you the privilege of paying more so you can pay more to option it out.

XLT built my way (CP360 and Hitch) = 25,605

Lariat built my way (Lux) = 32,755

Lariat with the same options as the XLT = 29,105

7,105 difference or a 3,500 difference for vinyl seats and some stuff that adds zero value for my taste.

To me the value isn't there.
Exactly my thoughts. IMO, the lariat is just some lipstick on a $24,200 (our hybrid XLT with spray-in and hitch) budget pickup truck. The only thing I was interested in was the upgraded stereo (and that only comes with the lux), and the B&O system still kinda' sucks and you could upgrade it yourself (far better) for $1k. Having sat in a lariat, I was not in any way impressed by the interior "upgrades".

There still isn't a real alternative <$35k, but if I was looking to spend lariat money, I wouldn't have been considering a truck (a truck has utility for us, but it isn't a need).

I originally ordered a Lariat Lux but changed to an XLT w/ luxury package.

It wasn't so much about the money as getting what I wanted. After hearing the B&O system, I knew I would be upgrading the audio (which I did), and I prefer cloth seats. With the XLT lux package, I got more "stuff" than I really need. In fact, I have the annoying lane keeping feature turned off as I have to fight it on these windy roads.
I got better audio than the B&O, and everything that I want or need. I actually prefer the dash in the XLT, but I'm probably in the minority on gadgetry appeal.

I am happy with my choice to move to XLT Lux from Lariat Lux.

Mine is a Lariat without Lux, which seems pretty rare. :) I started out ordering an XLT with Lux but decided I wanted the Active X power seats, pushbutton start, upgraded lighting, and power sliding rear window. I just didn't want to bump the price all the way to Lariat Lux territory, and I don't care about heated seats or ACC. With Copilot 360 and moonroof my Lariat was only $28.5k. Added a spray-in bedliner after delivery and it was still well under $30k before ttl.

I went with the XLT because I didn't discover the Maverick existed until January 2022. I couldn't order a hybrid and an EB/AWD Lariat was more than I wanted to spend. My only real complaints about the XLT trim (in theory, I don't have one yet) are the lack of ACC, push button start, and SYNC 3.

Assuming I don't get my LM order scheduled for 2022 I am going to reorder it as a Lariat Hybrid with the Luxury package so I can get all the stuff missing from the XLT. That might change if ACC becomes available on the XLT as part of some package. If it is, I might well stick with the XLT.

Mine will be a XLT and I like the Lariat upgrades but don't really need any of them plus I am a cloth seat kind of guy. The less options the less opportunity for stuff to go south. lol

I would have liked the HD radio tuner, but it certainly wasn't worth having to take the interior changes and other features that aren't for me.

Yeah - the entire appeal of the Maverick is that it's super cheap and fuel efficient with the bonus of doing some truck stuff in it. When it starts getting closer to 30K than 20K it really starts to lose the appeal.

I hope the 23 doesn't get bumped up too much more in price from the prior bumps. The XLT with CP360 and hitch at 25K is a sweet spot for me. If that jumps closer to 27K, I'll probably get the XL.

I’d recommend printing out the builds you would want at different trims and comparing the actual differences to see what you care about. I compared the XLT and Lariat with and without Lux, and I settled on Lariat for 2023 (assuming similar). It felt worthwhile and helped me really compare what I was considering.

I didn’t care much for the XLT Lux options so that was an easy rule out. For the Lariat, the niceties like push to start, more adjustable seats, dual zone AC, etc were worth it for me. Then the Lariat Lux seemed nice but just too high of a total price for me to stomach. So the Lariat is where I’ve settled.

As I'm endlessly waiting for my maverick to come in. I'm debating on upgrading from the XLT to the Lariat. I keep going back and forth on it. I'm curious to what everyone's reason were for choosing their trim level. Also has anyone gotten the XLT or Lariat and wish they didn't.
The interior was my biggest decision maker. All I really wanted was heated seats and steering wheel, so XLT was perfect for me.

I went with the Lauriet because I liked the additional features and the price over the years is negligible. Also, a little of that will come back when you sell.

I went Lariat lux because I didn't want fabric seats, DID want the Sync 3 with B&O system, and felt that even though the upgrade cost was pretty big, it still kept my build at a very reasonable price. I've skipped on top-trim vehicles in the past because they really pushed the total cost over my price range. First Edition-ing the hybrid Mav still kept it under $35k. Totally worth it to me.

I ordered XLT, then regretted not getting a Lariat…. But I honestly don’t regret paying all of the extra money for fake leather seats, I love the ones at Katskin, the automatic rear window (seldom used) and SiriusXM radio, I have car play and the XM app. Figured it’s just not worth it. BTW also regret not getting Hybrid… but in NJ I will need AWD.

Don't the Katskins run about $2k? I mean, the product is awesome and looks great but you can put that towards the Active X (fake leather) seats and get a number of other extras by going Lariat over XLT.
I didn't expect to like the Lariat interior, but it's really pretty decent. If only they had included ventilated seats up front :/

I took one look at the bronze accents on the Lariat and said “nope, down to XLT.” I’d love push start, one touch windows, fake leather, upgraded sound system but that bronze doesn’t do it for me. The orange is “hip” and if the console trays are removed it’s very little visible orange anyway.

The bronze/orange debate is 100% subjective so I’m sure this comment doesn’t help at all.
