Would you pay for future upgrade to a 12"+ Sync 4/(5?) system?

For what it does the screen is fine. If there was a 360 camera a bigger screen would be nice.

I hope a Hula Girl will fit in that space next to the screen

no I would just get that $75 wireless dongle for android auto on sync 3.

I don't really care about a bigger screen I don't think.

I will pay nothing for a bigger screen, unless there is BlueCruise under it.

As noted above, I would do it if it resulted in 360 view, but the Maverick doesn’t have the requisite cameras for that. still I would think about it if offered.

No, I drive a 2010 Rav4 so anything above that is an upgrade for me.

Yeah I’d probably pay up to 1k some years down the road if we hit a new infotainment paradigm, but for now SYNC3 / CarPlay will be pretty sweet for me. I’ll more likely switch to phev or full ev or nuclear fusion by then.

2-3 years we'll see a better full screen, hybrid awd, push button across all trims and cruise control. So we'll just trade up to that

No, If there is an option to keep the screen off I will use it. One of my favorite things about my 2014 Rav4 is that I can keep the screen off most of the time.

If Ford offered an upgrade a year or two in the future to upgrade the Sync 3 system to a 12"+ Sync 4/(5?) system that would eliminate the "ugly cubby", offer the latest technology and possibly an audio upgrade, would anyone bite or would you feel cheated from not having it from the get-go?

I would bite. Even as a Lariat/Lariat Package buyer, I realize that this vehicle is an economical option and some of the tech is hampered by the supply chain issues. I think getting a tech refresh mid cycle would help make it feel modern as it ages.

Thoughts? Price point?
I would neither bite nor feel cheated.

I’be interested IF I could have Built-In SiriusXM

Do you mean like we used to have until about 20 or so years ago? I remember swapping stereos on many a car, wreck one car, pull the radio and put it in another!

Agreed. The audio is more important than the smartphone integration. I wish manufacturers would have settled on a standard (e.g. DIN-PANEL) with ODBC-like standardization that would have allowed the aftermarket headunit industry to thrive.
