  1. Ford recalls 456K vehicles due to loss of drive power (undetected low battery issue); includes 2022-2023 Maverick Ecoboost & Hybrid

This happened to me the other day when I left a parking lot. When it came time for the ICE kicked in, it didn't. Stopped. Turned it off. Waited a few seconds. Then it started and ran normally. This $hit is getting old.
  2. Why is my Mav doing this?

Sort of, I seldom hear mine do it as I come out of a garage 95% of the time. Only once has the ICE started instantly. It sat in 17° F for about 7 hours. That puppy fired right up but didn't sound "course"

  10. A open letter to @Ford Motor Company regarding issues

Dear @Ford Motor Company It has now been a year and a half since I purchased my Maverick. Still 3 safety issues remain unresolved. On the fire safety recall it seems Ford is trying to just delay this and make it go away. Like the Powershift transmission fiasco. We need new engines or new...
  11. MPGs FAR below advertised and hype. Are you all telling the truth?

here in Kansas city in 19 months I am averaging 40.7 mpg. If you want these kind of numbers you need to adopt a hybrid driving style. Keep it under 70 on the hiway. Coast to every stoplight as much as possible. Do Pulse and Glide hypermiling. Click below for my proof...
  12. F-150 Shifter Installed in Maverick!

Never disliked the rotary shifter, in fact it keeps the forward storage area easily accessible. IMO it all comes down to men used to grabbing a stiff shaft and now all they get is a circle with a button to push in the middle.

  16. Changing your own oil - 2.5L hybrid

Not in my world. The reason everything is so expensive is people just keep paying the greedflation. The thought of scaling back just a little, scares people to death. Myself I cut Sling TV and saved $61 a month. was hardly watching it and I found many other free or very low cost alternatives...
  17. Changing your own oil - 2.5L hybrid

IME it takes 5 min to take it off and 5 minutes to put back on at a leisurely pace. Yes I'm 69 years old and I have done mine 3 times. Lose the drama and allocate 10 more minutes to do it.
  18. Senior citizen Maverick owners thread

Turn 69yo next month. It checks a lot of boxes. For $27K with freight the '22 XLT with LUX package and a few other things. People ask if it has this, I say yes, usually many times in a conversation. It has been a good but interesting ride. Just wish they would have spent a few extra bucks on the...
