All you EcoBoost guys are high strung. Probably why. Maybe y'all should change to eco friendly mode😁
Not all. Some of us love to chill while we blow the doors off those overweight and underpowered Tacos. :ROFLMAO:

I don't know. From what I've seen on a few specials and some Johns Hopkins research, it might be quicker and cheaper to just get yourself some magic mushrooms and take a little journey.....

I get some negativity-

Mostly from squatted monster diesels, rolling coal...

But on the bright side, I'm at 24k problem free miles in my '23 hybrid-

Didn't realize just how much I love it, until I had to go a week without it...

In mild temperatures, I average 42-44 mpg.
(mostly highway commute)

I get that by leaving 10 minutes earlier, driving slower, and using cruise control in slippery mode to kick it into electric sailing more often...
Why not just use Eco mode if you are in a Hybrid? The manual really doesn't specify that slippery mode changes anything in the drive line other than "Slippery mode lowers throttle response and optimizes shifting for slippery surfaces." but it's a pretty safe assumption that it's similar to other modes that engage traction control more frequently and optimizes the vehicle's handling and stability control systems to provide better grip and prevent wheel slip. The manual does specify not to use sand mode, but I don't think your Hybrid has that. Keep in mind the manual also specified no real difference other than the way FORD chose to word things between mud/rut and sand mode. Wouldn't you rather side with caution and avoid potential driveline binding and just use eco mode instead?

I know a previous member and self proclaimed "expert" (he actually called himself that) got himself banned due to all his misinformation and attitude (among many other things) and that was a thread they started with their results on MPG alone - but wouldn't you rather side with caution and avoid potential driveline binding and just use eco mode instead?
Slippery mode uses the regenerative braking less than Eco. So depending on driving conditions and styles you can get better mileage with Slippery. I tend to use Slippery on the highway to coast longer at speed and switch to Eco when I get into slow and go or stop and go traffic.

Interesting. I wonder if there is any difference in the EB's then. I always disliked how vague the manual is with the drive modes to begin with. It's funny that none of what you mentioned is mentioned in the manual - where it would seem a very valuable place to mention it lol.

Does anyone know if Slippery does ANYTHING in relation to the wheels then? Especially in AWD/Tremor's?

I would assume the EB is more focused on power deliver, gearing, and probably AWD engagement if equipped. But I am not sure. I have just noticed how much regenerative braking is used between modes with Eco being the most and Slippery being the least. Normal is basically a mix of both. I haven't played with tow/haul, sport, or L much to know how they function fully. I know other people have done more testing than I have an hopeful will chime in.

Well, I believe that getting better mileage has a lot to do with coasting.

I can look ahead, and coast farther in slippery mode, then hit the L button when I want max regenerative braking.

I also don't like the "feeling" of accelerating in Eco mode. It feels sluggish in eco, but perky speeding up in slippery-

I've been on this forum since early November 2023 after ordering my Mav, and this thread is the first one I've seen that is mostly a pissing contest with no redeeming value. THANK YOU to all the helpful members who have shared great information and ideas with no negativity.

Can we see who is officially ignoring us? That could be fun. There needs to be a badge for the top 10 ignored users.
If you click on a thread and it says its unavailable - you're being ignored.

Not sure why but there's a good bit of hybrid owners who ignore me.

Same, I can't tell if they're rolling coal in front of me to make a statement, or it's because those truck owners are just the most absent minded and inconsiderate drivers in the road. It's funny how our trucks trigger those guys, I know their egos are as fragile, as their emissions systems, but damn.
