Oh you're right, I mis-read that. Makes sense now that a RWD chassis w/o transverse driveline or CV joints could achieve a better steering angle than the Maverick can
Our '22 Transit connect was front wheel drive, however it could still turn pretty tight. The Transit Connect is a European design and I guess it needed a tight turn radius because of the narrow streets????

Our of curiosity, has anyone been able to find if there are limiters on the rack? Or dabbled with removing them?

Not sure how much wiggle room it has before things start binding but honestly if I could get rid of some of the curb scrubbing on tighter roads (don't say you don't need to u turn until you doordash at night and nobody either a)knows how to turn their porch light on or b)has a house number within 20' of a light) I wouldn't be too upset about it.

Do you? I mean use one seriously, there's no map out there that is 100% on all the street numbers, often land +/- 5 properties away.... occasionally it gets you on the next street over.
Yeah...lots of new developments with a location pinned but haven't added the street yet.

I've worked both emergency response and delivery services. You absolutely cannot rely on GPS to get you to many places. People with unmarked homes annoy the ever-loving crap out of EMS and delivery drivers. Mark your homes people!

Ford Pass never locates my Maverick at 1220. Sometimes it is at 1230 or 1225 but never at 1220.

My least favorite find the address experience was to an address that was GPS incorrect, it was 3 apartments, they were above a business up a flight of stairs, the entrance was BEHIND the business and not accessible from the road in front, the apartments were mixed numbers and letters without apparent logic: Apt D, Apt 4, Apt 1C and the doors were UNLABELED, only the mailboxes had the apt numbers on them... and again the apartment labels were completely nonsensical.

Go to google maps , with your phone in your hand standing where you want the location to be and name it exactly the same as the USPS address with the zip code + 4 digit extension. Save it to Google. I have at least 4 locations for my address. The USPS zip+4 is my mail box at the street. The UPS delivery spot is the GPS 940 feet west of mail box. The 911 gps is located about 800 feet north of my mail box (I did not have survey done when I built my house so exact GPS was not determined. The 911 address clerk at county tax office dropped her "this is it" balloon on her map and misdropped where I showed her on her computer. Possibly 19 years ago the aerial map gps locater was not as accurate.).

On a vehicle that has the poor CV/halfshaft track record of the Maverick, I don't think I would bother. I've adjusted stops on older vehicles to get the best turning radius I could, but those were u-joint solid front axles on 4WDs.

Thats odd. Everywhere that I look up the spec says the LWB Transit Connect has the same 40ft. turning radius as the Maverick.

I've used GPS many times to go to an adress that i've never been to. And 50% of the time it is off by one house. If I was a delivery driver, I would want to be 100% sure I'm delivering to the correct adress, so yeah, his point about lighting and street numbers on houses is completely valid.

121 inch wheelbase can't lie ...
THE TRUTH

Some will think I'm fibbing but that is close to the wheelbase of the Panther platform Town Cars. (1979 to end of production) Heck a Crown Victoria only had a 114 in wheelbase over the same time-period.
