To answer the OP: a lot of the time, sarcasm and friendly jabbing doesn't translate easily through the keyboard. So, people can sometimes take it the wrong way and get their undies in a bundle. Sometimes people are naturally assholes, though. But, I am never sarcastic (see what I did there?)

Serious question though: is Ditch Pickle in reference to Arctic Cat snowmobiles? Because that is what my buddies and I refer to them as.

Funny, I've got 2 that I keep seeing on my commute, both go out of their way to charge up on me, tailgate an inch away before passing just to slow down and blow smoke...

They also both have a "Desert diesel" sticker, so they must actually be tough guys that just might crash into you, then kick your ass for being in their way-

I can't stand people like that. Bunch of overly macho BS, the kinds of idiots who want to force their lifestyle onto people, yet freak out when they see a rainbow flag on someone's yard and try to take it down.

Crazy development in our area, and the highway is flooded with lots of construction related traffic-

Crazy amount of construction in Sahuarita (over abundance of jacked up diesel rigs there) and Green Valley (lots of Mavericks or F350 quad cab dulies for towing 5th wheel trailers driven by the 55+ crowd... funny contrasts). All of the mining consumes incredible amounts of water as do the Pecan Groves.... crazy to have so much constuction growth, agriculture, and mining activity that just consumes so much water in an area where there isn't much water.

But yeah... lot of aftermarket lift kits, wheels, tires and large diameter exhaust sold in this part of the country..

Same with up here, but it's logging. Funny thing is you see stock height trucks getting by just fine. Almost like approach angles can be mitigated on 99% of surfaces and scenarios for the daily drivers

Even still, I'll never knock a good diesel engine (pun intended). Especially when they are the ones providing all the goods to our towns and towing/hauling us our goodies (including the Mavericks to the dealerships). Railways too.

Yeah my mom lives in Green valley and loves it. I guess I'll probably make it a trip out there. Unfortunately I got to wait till my son is done school in early June. So I guess it'll be 110°?

Yeah I don't have a problem with diesel trucks that are used as a truck to you know move goods and things. It is annoying though to me at least when you get the ones that are clearly just a suburban noise machine that's engineered to blow smoke. No just the coal roller ones but the ones where you have to turn your fan off and keep your windows closed till you get past them
