What an odd thread. I'm actually kind of shocked though, because the avatar screams older folk and the question screams modern high schooler 
But I agree to a point. I mean, with all the screens in vehicles, it's kind of nice they have a physical keypad version and not some fingerprint scanner or screen that needs to be swiped to activate it lol.
Probably. No more than any other method I guess. Car thieves know their targets. If they can start a vehicle without a key or use a fake key, the keypad is probably the last thing on their mind. If they have those capabilities, they are going to unlock the vehicle one way or another. Most folks looking for break ins and not focused on stealing the vehicle are either checking for open doors/windows or smash and grabs.Doesn't a keypad make a vehicle a target for break-in? I mean thieves can expect at a running/hiking trail parking lot that there is stuff to be had if they break into a vehicle with a keypad. Makes a case for the newer less visable keypad or hiding it somewhere.
