My FOB range is ridiculously good. I can lock/unlock/remote start my Maverick off my FOB at my desk in my office. Which is 75-80' away inside a metal building, through a couple walls. I do have to stand though and hold my FOB up a little. But still crazy impressive.

yes the push button range may be very good, but the passive range for the locks is very short, to ensure someone doesn't walk up and unlock your vehicle when your halfway across the parking lot.

My driver side actually stopped working but passengers side still works. I have to take it up to dealership anyway for recall so I'll have check it out.

My driver's side went kaput too! Did they fix it while you waited?

No they had to order a part so I went back when the part came in and you need both keys for them to program the new part.

My passenger side stopped working. I turned off the option in the settings menu and then turned it back on and it started working again. Haven't had an issue since.

I've experienced one side arbitrarily stopped working (both sides should work), To correct go in the settings and deactivate, then reactivate the intelligent access setting.

Well, I went out and tried it again, and I’ll be both sides lock/unlock by touch!!! Don’t know why it didn’t work the other day, must be gremlins….

So you mean both doors can be unlocked ny touching the key pad code?

On my Lariat you can touch the inside of the handle and it will unlock the doors or I can use the keypad. Not sure if the keypad unlocks both sides but the touch handle does.

Not the keypad, I’m talking about when you touch the actual door handle.

Both front doors work, know this for sure. Unlock AND lock provided you have the key within distance.

The touchpad unlocks all doors, just like touching the inside of the handle. However, you can set both to only unlock the driver's door, for security reasons (so no one can jump into your passenger seat uninvited).

Old thread, but something of related interest……..
I enquired directly from FMC, and learned that touching the handle, while it will lock the truck, will NOT arm the alarm.
Hitting the bottom two buttons on the keypad WILL arm the alarm, as will locking it with the remote clicker.

Is it only on the drivers side front door, or does it work on the passenger side front door???

The proximity/touch lock/unlock should work on driver and front passenger doors. Not the back doors. I am talking about the lock by touching the handle and the unlock by reaching around the handle.

That being said, my passenger side front door stopped working (twice) and I had it fixed under warranty at the dealership (twice).
