Interesting test for the alarm system.

Which is activated when you lock with remote according to manual.
Does a lock with keypad also activate alarm?
Lock with keypad.
Open door with key.
Does dashboard tell you there is 30 seconds to start the vehicle?

.......
"HeyBales" Mike,
The answer is yes. My 2023 wired keypad SETS the alarm when the lock buttons 7/8-9/0 are pressed ONCE OR TWICE on the keypad.
Also yes, once you unlock the truck with the key, after locking with the keypad. The dashboard will alert you to start the car. You have 15 seconds otherwise the alarm will go off.
I double pushed the keypad out of habit. Today I checked it out, one push of the 7/8-9/0 lock buttons on the keypad will SET the alarm.
Videos to follow.

I had a hard time trying to insert the key while viewing it through the phone screen.

I left my key fob in my 22 from the day I bought until the day I sold it in July this year. Never touched a key. Insurance agent, State Farm, said it would be covered as it was locked.

Getting the keypad for my 25 soon. I really enjoy being "keyless"!!

That's good to know. Thanks for confirming.
So basically that keypad mimics a fob - key sequence to lock is like the Lock button, your code to enter is the Unlock button.
Transponder info either sent in the request to be trusted - or because wired it's already a trusted source for the request. So alarm disabled.

I thought you had keyless entry too, XLT with Lux?
Or I'm merely thinking of the keypad perhaps - because that sounded like a keyed ignition, not start button.

22 xlt lux hybrid has key insert not push button.
ETA: When stickon keypad is coded you enter the trucks key code then your personal code, so the stick on keypad should also be a trusted source. Also I haven't ever tried but if you have unlock only driver door set up and you want to unlock ALL doors you push the 3-4 keypad button after the unlock code.
