I got my Maverick back from the dealer with the power steering replaced, and a couple of other things it seems. Of course they could assure me that it would not happen again.
So, unfortunately I cannot trust the Maverick and I have now sold it and moved onto another vehicle to tow.
Sad, but...
Hello
I get that.
But in my case, I was going straight, slowed down to let a car go by, did a gentle left turn onto an on-ramp, and about 80yds down the ramp the death wobble happened. I felt it immediately and pulled onto the shoulder and stopped. Looked at the front wheels on the Maverick...
I feel the same way. I am already looking for another vehicle. I didn't want to, but I just can't trust that this will not happen again. Very disappointing.
Hello
I would like to encourage all of us who have had this issue to report it to the NHTSA. It is an easy process to report what happened. Have your VIN handy.

Well I just had the same thing happen on my 22 hybrid. Gentle left turn into an on ramp. Death wobble started. I pulled off immediately and it straightened out. However I now have the service steering message.
Can I still drive it? Got a grandsons birthday to get to.
Yes, flat tow mode. My bad.
That is what I thought I would need to do. Take it out of flat tow mode, start ICE, put it back in flat tow, reset RVi3 brake.
Thank you
"Start the engine and allow it to run for one (1) minute at the beginning of each day and every six (6) hours thereafter. "
How do you start the ICE when in tow mode? Do you need to take it out of tow mode?
Thanks.
Very handy when you leave your key and phone in the vehicle when helping your daughter move (and your spare key is in another city)!
Add long as you have set it up! Of course then you download the app to your daughter's phone, log in and unlock. Then you set up there keypad!
I removed the steering column cowl (see the video in this thread) and the knee airbag. It's held on by for 10mm bolts. I didn't disconnect the wiring, just set it aside. That gave me some more room but it is still tight in there. Those purple and white wires are so thin. I could not get enough...
Has anyone seen anything to indicate that any of the Maverick competitors can be towed 4 down behind a motorhome? The Maverick Hybrid can be towed that way.
For those who asked in a power socket to plug in your towed vehicle aux brake, did you connect to the +ve and -ve posts of the battery (under the back seat)? Would it be better to connect to +ve of battery and the -ve to a ground?
Thanks.
Thank you. Where did you connect the wire that is meant to go to the battery -ve terminal? Can you see the info on the RVi command center from the battery charger?
Hello
Can you tell me how the RVi towed battery charger is hooked up to the Maverick please? Can you see the readouts from the battery charger on the RVi tablet?
Thanks.
