I had been keeping my garage door opener where it seems most of you keep yours, the little square hole near the cup holder. But, at night, it was hard to find and with no light at that time, it was hard to use. So, I moved mine up to the 2.5"X4" hole to the right of the GPS screen. I used one of my wife's unused pot holders, and just clipped the opener on it and stuffed it into the hole. It is a perfect location, out of the way, and easy to find and reach. The problem is, it's temporary. I need something more permanent. Something that fits the decor a little better. Maybe a 3d printer can print a soft plastic hinged device that not only will fit, but looks good. Maybe utilize the space behind the opener for a coin holder or plackers or something small. I'll be the first customer for a permanent solution. I would like to send a pic of what mine looks like, but I am not good at posting a pic except on certain chat groups.

My original garage door remotes quit working long ago, so I bought replacements on amazon, similar to the one below. I removed the metal clip on one and just stuck it in the infotainment cubby, on top of a piece of grippy rubber shelf liner to keep it from rattling. Works great and easy to reach.

Visor driver side left corner. I keep my registration and insurance card folded up on clip.

I installed a rear view mirror with Homelink buttons and it works fine. Probably took me around two hours from start to finish.

I keep my garage door opener in the passenger seat. When we get home, she gets out and opens the garage door.

I had to shorten the clip slightly to let the console close fully but this keeps the remote out of sight so criminals are less likely to be able to open my garage door when breaking into the truck, LOL. When I'm at the fringes of max range, I may have to hold the remote up higher, but most of the time I can just poke the button where it is and all goes well.

Bought a Gentex rear view mirror off of eBay with Home Link (garage door buttons), auto dimming, and compass. Now no need for seperate garage door opener as it is built in to my rear view mirror. As a safety feature, I wired it into key-on power so the key has to be on before the garage door opener will work. Wiring was easy... Tapped in to overhead console lights as others have done in this forum.
can you provide a link to the correct mirror please?

I bought molle panels for the visors. They attached with Velcro straps, and you can attach your garage remote, small flashlight, sunglasses, etc.

I put mine in that same hole, to the right of the display, only I velcro taped it to the top. Easy to reach in a push the button.

The one I installed is a Gentex 536. However a Gentex 453 is a popular one that I see installed in Mavericks. There are probably many other Gentex models that will work. However pay close attention to the mount. Make sure that the mount is the same as the Mavericks. Also make sure that the wiring harness is included with plenty of wire. Hope this helps...

I put mine in the easiest place to click it - on the sun visor. Most of them have a clip for putting it there
