Longer bed, all terrain tires (especially for FX4 package), hybrid all wheel drive would be great. Also I’d love it the stereo didn’t default to FM radio after I connect my phone to it, that makes zero sense. Also, how bout some friggin fog lights??

Thing I like best about the Maverick I do not own is the fact where else can I get a pickup truck that gets over 25 MPG, Dana AWD, FX/4 package, heated seats, heated steering wheel, heated mirrors and heated wipers for 31K. On top of that if after I purchase the truck and God forbid It turns out to be a bad decision for me I can sell it or trade up and not only not lose money but make a few bucks.

Of course all of these things are possible simply because the truck is virtually impossible to get. :D

Guess I missed that, in researching the Mav. well, if it works..
Funny thing is... Most of the Mav's that I have seen around town (saw two more this morning) are being driven by aging Babyboomers like me.. :p
Except for the "Blonde" that was driving an Area51 XL, at a high rate of speed...

In my area it's the opposite, ever Maverick owner I've seen is under 50.

Top 3 for me

1.Awd hybrid with defaults for drive mode and fog lights.... these should be easy in the near future.

2. multi function tailgate like a Ram... yes it folds down too.
Added goodies: step hides away and it's pre wired with plug for a trailer camera.... would love to have these on a Mav !

Ford Maverick What's Your ONE Thing? RAM-tailgate-st

Or the Ridgeline opens or folds without a split ... and the lockable in bed trunk (with spare) is genius

3.Better audio system options on XLT hybrid (Lariat Hybrid is US only)

Sad that I even need to ask for this.

Fix the dangerously laggy and washed out rear view camera. It is a safety hazard. I've already filed a complaint (# 11525175 ) with the NTSB.

I am still ticked off that there's no dimming mirrors, passenger power seat and bunch of others that had been listed already. Not to mention that with an accident, the Maverick more likely will be totaled by the insurance company. @36K price, i expected more and better quality.

The Maverick is not like the Yugo or Ford Pinto, but on the other hand it is not that far either...

Push button or keyless start on all models. So much easier to keep the key in your pocket.

Because I didn't think to go around and scratch interior plastics before buying it.
Nobody does that, ever. I'm loving mine and am not a nit pick person for no reason.

That was only for MY22. For MY23 Ford brought it to Canada. Why they waited til MY23, your guess is as good as mine, I would have gone for it too.

The cheap flippy doddle key is my biggest pet peeve, comes open in my pocket at least once a week. Just make it push button start XLT and up.

I agree with many of the other suggestions (y)

I'd add a little more factory lift to it. The ground clearance is bad. The underside hangs lower in some areas so you don't really get what you see when walking up to it. It's behind the pack and worse than even many sub-compact SUVs in this respect.

Two thing I’d like to see improved, however, mine is an XL. Different type or interior panel material. I love the utilitarian interior, however, Interior panels scratch very easy. A different more robust material would be a great improvement. And, the radio components should be upgraded. I’m always having to unplug/plug cell phone to activate streaming.

Get rid of the infotainment screen altogether.
Make all audio and HVAC adjustments done by feeling for knobs, buttons, etc.
These things are the most dangerous “improvements” to come along in a long time. It can take 4 different “touches”
just to change the radio station. That’s a long time to take one’s eyes from the road.
I really believe that it’s only a matter of time before this change will be federally mandated.
