This is a good feature, and I wouldn't even be upset that it showed up each time.. but you have to confirm it with OK every time? Seems off.

Yes, every single time I start the truck! I agree it is nice information to have if you opt-in. In case of kids or whatever is your use case. Being forced to ack with no recourse it's super annoying.

Lots of smartasses on this forum. That is what I've learned so far... 😁

Jokes aside, from the answers above, it appears that the popup is not something that every Mav is getting when starting, which leads me to believe it's a problem specific to me only.

I will keep investigating and will share any findings in case someone else will experience the same.

And just to be clear, if everyone is buckled I don't see why this alert should be displayed and in needs to be confirmed with the OK button. I find it senseless besides very annoying.
Then you should probably change your display settings.

I appreciate the notification, even though I don't often need it, because I am never moving my vehicle until I know that everybody's wearing their seatbelts. This way, I won't need to ask.

Changing the display settings is the challenge.

It is annoying and yes lots of trolls waiting to post stupid (I am being kind) answers.

You asked, "What is this information for". I think it was Ford's way of presenting the driver with useful information. Turn it off if you can, use and act on it, if needed. It's Your choice and it matters not what other people think.

My opinion is car makers don't always have original ideas; they steal other car makers ideas that maybe they think was a good idea. We tend to be getting MORE displays and then it becomes a pain in the ass when we feel overloaded. Reminds me of all the menu options/levels you get when trying to get customer service from a company by telephone.

I am guilty; in 231 posts, I have been a smartass, a dumbass, a wiseass and even just an ass. It really depends on what others are posting and how crazy the questions are, or how crazy the replies are and also what kind of mood I am in.

There is also a different setting in the menus for disabling the "Check for rear passengers" or something to that effect when you turn off the truck (at least in mine it did). I disabled it, no kiddos here. I wonder if that could also disable this popup menu in your case?

and more importantly, how to disable it to popup every SINGLE time I start it!!!
I have the same model & trim level as MaverickHybrid and the exact same problem:
I have to press the OK button every time I start my truck to make the seat belt status graphic go away.

Yes, I buckle my seat belt before starting my truck.
Yes, I've read the owner's manual.
Yes, I've looked at every menu option on both instrument panel displays.
Yes, I checked to make sure my software is up-to-date.

I am 99% confident my Maverick did not have this problem at first.
I suspect that it was while I explored all the different menu options that something triggered the offending graphic.

(I should mention that I am otherwise delighted by my new truck. I didn't even mind setting my outside mirrors, which required me to roll down the windows in 10 degree weather.)

Lets you know who's buckled up & who is not buckled up. On page 117 of manual (customizing cluster display), it appears you may be able to deselect this screen so it doesn't show up.
But doesn't the Maverick seat 5? Middle rear passenger doesn't matter.

Does it still show up if you uncheck Seatbelts in the Screen Select Menu?
