The advantage is that you don’t have take the key out of pocket or purse. This is convenient especially if you have the touch handle unlock. You can carry stuff into truck without fumbling for keys. I am coming from the push start where I rarely ever used the key fob to unlock the car. Just needed them in my pocket. Definitely liked it more than having to unlock the door and start trick with key.I totally agree with you, that push button start Is way over rated. A real key, in a key slot, turn to start…is not an inconvenience at all. I own both starting types in my cars, and just don’t see what the advantages of push to start are, but that’s me.
