What changes to Maverick engineering would you like for the next evolution?

Gadgets, gew-gaws, body shape, electronics, engine systems; anything.

Personally, I'd like the driver height to be another 6" taller (eye level off the road), via increased seat height and accompanying raised interior ceiling height. Mainly to allow a more comfortable "bus driver" sitting posture for long drives, instead of the low-to-the-floor, legs sticking out in front posture used now.

Of COURSE an available 6' minimum bed length via shortened passenger cab that just has front seats and a small space behind them.

Door bottle holders that actually work.
SuperCab! Lose the e-brake for a lever. Default to Eco mode. Zero position on the heater control.

Truck staying in the last mode selected (eco, sport, whatever) would be a simple change they could make that would be an instant win for the end user. Default to whatever mode the driver last set it to.

I don't know if anyone has covered this, (there are a lot of pages to this thread), but I'm not sure if you can set a default driving mode. I see no reason to not have Eco as default (Eco is the new Normal). Sure, when I'm towing or I need one of the others, I'll be happy to punch that in, but otherwise. Perhaps it can be accomplished by Forescan, but I'm just not that into it.
I’d be happy if it simply stayed in the last mode used instead of always defaulting back to normal

Batteries are heavy, 4x the battery definitely does not 4x the range, & you get to rapidly diminishing returns as 4x the battery weight requiring 2x or more extra current just to haul the extra battery weight.

I would go for double capacity - even a 2.2kwh battery is relatively miniscule and with the increased power of the HF55 I'm very surprised they did not increase the battery size.

It is almost a given that the 2027 will have a much larger capacity built on a new platform/chasis aimed for hybrids.

John - the 1.1kwh battery in the Mav weighs about 25lbs. Doubling the capacity would add negligible weight and wouldn’t need to alter the current.

I'd like some new options such as factory lift 2", possibly rear seat opening to truck bed for long items, a bit more towing option like 5,000 lbs, and roof racks. Also option of heated seats separately.

The flexbed lumber divider slots are a great idea, but is there any reason they absolutely have to be 4 different lengths? I feel like they could be rationalised into 2 lengths, one for the rear upright and 3 high and flat positions, one for the front upright and between the wheelwells position.

A 'Pass Through' would be high on my last too.

A pass-thru = structural changes, new crash & rollover certification. Likely impossible without a permanent truckbed rollbar for structural rollover rigidity.
Then there's relocating electronic controllers from the back wall, water ingress protection, etc.

Replacing the rear glass with a reinforced pass-through large sliding window could be done pretty cost effectively.

A 'Pass Through' would be high on my last too.
