Yeah XLT with normal glass to special glass, I can’t hear any appreciable change. Then again, I dont have bat like hearing, so maybe it is me. You might be noticing the lack of the fender insulation foam pieces on the XL, just a guess.

I agree with you, but one thing I’m pretty sure Americans in general have forgotten is the concept that sometimes less can be more. I was thinking about this general topic one time. Why even have trim badges on a vehicl? I mean, I know I have an XLT…why should I feel the need to let anyone...

Optimate (correction, Tecmate) makes high quality chargers with desulfate functionality, just as an FYI if you are interested. They aren’t super cheap, but it’s one of those YGWYPF instances.

Lots of folks driving Mavs in cold climates and using tonneaus for several years now, have not once seen any reports of issues in this regard.

OP said unlimited budget. If I threw fifty million bucks at the problem, I’m sure someone could retrofit the climate control panel or system from the 24 models into my 25. Obviously not feasible otherwise.

Better seats. Knobs for fan speed and temp. Softer upper interior door panel. Fewer pop up notifications.

I put some Blizzaks on a set of steelies. Total tank in the snow now. Proper tires for conditions make all the difference. Hard to go back to all seasons after you’ve done a winter with dedicated snow tires. All season tires should really be labeled “three season”.

I hear you on the dash rattle frustration. Mine started rattling around 800 miles in. Oddly, the rattle are less now that cold weather has arrived, the opposite of past experience with such things. I‘ve never purchased a new vehicle (or used, now that I think about it) with a dash this janky...

My XL came with 17”-ers.

You aren’t wrong. The seats in our old base trim Prius are larger, despite being a smaller vehicle. My wife‘s current Corolla Cross also has a larger, more comfortable d-seat, again, a pretty small car. The 7/8 scale seats are probably one of my biggest dislikes of my M.

UPDATE. Using advice found on another forum thread, my whistle sound seems to be resolved, The dealer replaced the rubber seal around the drivers door window. I think it is technically called the “window run”. Anyway, the seal looked perfect but was faulty, and a new seal seems to have...

Just stumbled across this pic and I have to say, these might be my favorite “other Ford” wheels I’ve seen on a Maverick. Might have to see if I can find some.
