  1. After 2 years, I’m back!

Exactly! I never knew what people liked in a green car, but EG changed that for me.
  2. Train horn or equivalent

If you want a loud air horn, look for "MegaBlast" This is two horns and a 12v compressor for each one. They are very LOUD! I was able to mount both horns and their compressors in front of the radiator on my Corvette. I'd get them for our RAV4, but there is no room for them.
  3. MPG towing a Harley

Used to tow my Ultra-Classic behind our Tundra and saw little change in mileage, I suspect because there is little frontage area to block wind. Towing my 16' enclosed trailer and my highway mileage would go from 17 to 7. Frontal area makes a big difference in how hard to truck has to pull on...
  4. Cross traffic alarm

Backing into my carport yesterday and my cross traffic alarm beeped. Never did it before. One car was parked beside mine. Nothing but the enclosed back, and woods around. A bit of a shock, not expecting it. Anyone else experience this?
  5. Recall Number: 26C10 TRAILER MODULE REPROGRAMMING

I got the letter from Ford a few weeks ago, but my app says "0 active recalls." This is for a 2024 XLT EB.
  6. Parking aid not working

Can't we all just get along?
  7. How is your Ecoboost doing on MPG?

7000 miles on 2024 bought one year ago. 27.9. This has been creeping up slightly over the past few months. Never checked actual mileage though. No highway miles; mostly rural and mountain driving. Some eco but not going up the big hills here.
  8. They Are Everywhere

Ever notice; you buy a new car, and all of a sudden you notice a LOT of that model on the roads? Not so for the Mav until maybe recently. A few years ago we came up on a Ford pickup, and I said to my wife "what's that?" Got close enough to see the "Maverick" on the back, and thought "that was...
  9. They Are Everywhere

About 15 years ago, I rode with a couple from Canada that had their Harley die out west. He said that he had to buy a used bike because either he could not bring a new one into Canada, or the taxes would be too high (can't remember which). Your right about the ignorance. . .
  10. They Are Everywhere

I believe Canada has very high import taxes on autos.
  11. Is There A Way To Disable Auto Locks

That and you wouldn't want your arms flinging around outside the truck in a rollover.
  12. Is There A Way To Disable Auto Locks

My dad's preacher refused to wear s seatbelt; he said he was afraid the if the car ran off the road into a pond, he didn't want to be trapped in the car. I suggested that 1) the chance of ending up in a pond was much more remote than other types of collisions, and 2) you first have to survive...
  13. Is There A Way To Disable Auto Locks

Have you ever had someone try to open your door when stopped at a light? -- I have! They did not break the glass, and I was able to drive away before they could do any harm. I like the feature. Also, someone said about locked doors helping prevent the doors flying open in an accident. Both...
  14. 2025 tailgate assist

I notice no difference in the lifting effort.
  15. If you bought Maverick again today… Hybrid or EcoBoost

Yellow Labs are the greatest! We lost Butch a few years ago and I still miss him.
  16. Plum crazy Maverick? or Lime Light?

My current fiberglass ride; women like it!
  17. Effin' Screw Up

Had a similar thing happen in Jacksonville, Florida. Got a parking ticket for my Norton motorcycle. Went to traffic court, and all I had to do was state that my bike was not a Honda, and the judge immediately dismissed the ticket.
  18. Got broadsided by a deer this morning.

Hit and run -- did you get the deer's tag number?
  19. New toy to haul with my Maverick: 2006 Forest River Cabin A

I can type much faster on the PC than on the phone; maybe I'm old-school?
